This 7-night African Golf Tour visits some of the most scenic golf courses in the malaria-free Waterberg safari region of South Africa, including the Extreme 19th at Legends on your last day.

While the golf is exceptional and exciting, you don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy it; there are many other activities like big game safaris, elephant encounters, horse rides, cable car trips and relaxing spas to keep non-gol!ng partners well entertained.

Day 1 : Saturday

Arrive at Lanseria Airport where you will be collected by a friendly face from Dornbrack Travel. Your cruising transport is a comfortable Mercedes Vito Minibus.

We’ll take you directly to La Dolce Vita 4-star guest house overlooking the beautiful Hartbeespoort Dam. We chose La Dolce Vita because its name ‘the sweet life’ is exactly what you get when you stay here. You’ll sleep like a dream in their queen and king-size beds, especially after using your en-suite Jacuzzi bubble bath, which has magni!cent views over the dam. Alternatively, you can opt to stay in a private villa with 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms in the nearby Pecanwood Golf Estate.

We have kept your !rst day leisurely, allowing you to explore the picturesque dam and take a ride to the top of the ancient Magaliesberg Mountains on the new Harties Cableway. The views are out of this world! Return to the guest house for a leisurely afternoon sundowner cruise on the water followed by dinner at La Dolce Vita or the nearby owner-run Stef’s Table.

Day 2 : Sunday

Wake refreshed ready for your !rst round on the outstandingly beautiful Pecanwood Golf Course. Jack Nicklaus is the name behind this world-class course, which skirts the banks of Hartbeespoort Dam and is named after a grove of Pecan nut trees.

After lunch at the golf course there’s a unique new thrill in store! You can spend the afternoon getting up close and personal with elephants at The Elephant Sanctuary. You don’t just walk with these animals – many rescued from zoos - you stroll trunk in hand.

Numbers are limited for maximum elephant interaction and it’s a truly memorable, enriching and educational experience.

Back at La Dolce Vita, if you didn’t do the sun-downer cruise yesterday, here’s another chance – they’ll even take along the ski-boat for the sporty and adventurous!

Day 5 : Wednesday

This morning we head to Euphoria Golf Estate & Hydro in the Waterberg, with an 18-hole Championship Course, built to preserve the natu-ral fauna and #ora of the area. It was designed by number one female golfer Annika Sorenstam, and provides an unforgettable and challenging gol"ng experience.

The property also has natural hot mineral springs attributed with healing powers - perhaps it will en-hance your game!

There is something unusual in store for the evening too; a world-"rst cablecar that links the golf clubhouse with the top of the mountain where you’ll "nd the informal Sundowner Deck Restaurant. It’s a one of a kind must-visit venue.

Overnight accommodation is in luxurious Euphoria Bush Villas, with a decor theme of contemporary African chic incorporating sandstone from the surrounding mountains.

Day 6 & 7 : Thursday & Friday

If you haven’t already had enough highlights – it’s time for the biggest! Two days and nights at the Legends Golf & Safari Resort, with a round on their splendid Signature Course and their 10-hole Tribute Course and the ultimate win-a-million for a hole-in-one on the Extreme 19th!

No hole has captured the imagination as much as The Extreme 19th at Legends. It’s only accessible by helicopter as the tee is high up on Hanglip Mountain, played onto a green in the shape of Africa 430 metres below. Gol!ng superstars and world celebrities have been on TV pitting their skill and luck at this hole, but no-one has yet managed the hole in one.

There’s always the chance that it could be you! If not, you can claim to have played the most extreme par 3 on the planet!

Legends is one of the most environmentally sensi-tive golf estates in Africa, minimising the impact of development on the natural environment and preserving pristine bushland. It is situated in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy, so there are a number of additional activities available:

You’ll sleep well after the exciting golf, safari activities and perhaps a cultural dance show after a dinner in the boma.
