Fun Facts:!!✶ Russellville Official Incorporation Date: June 7, 1870!!✶ City Tree & Flower: Crepe Myrtle & Marigold!!✶ In the mid-1800s, Legendary American Outlaw Jesse James rode into Russellville as he continued to outrun authorities. You can still visit the water well he and his horse visited on Highway 7 South on the grounds of Vinson Electric.!!✶ Monday, January 15, 1906, a devastating fire wiped out 23 Russellville Downtown businesses causing $250,000 in damages. However, within 6 months, 21 buildings had already been rebuilt!!!✶ President Teddy Roosevelt addressed area residents during his April 1912 whistle stop at Historic Russellville Depot.!!✶ The world’s 1st parking meter was manufactured at Russellville’s POM (Park-O-Meter) in 1935. (Located at 228 South Elmira Ave)
