“The Silcon UPS is like having a gentle giant
hidden in your cupboard that you can pull out when ever you fancy. So we are very happy with the Silcon
product".
Mr. Paul MulvenneFacilities Manager
"The main reason for choosing Silcon UPS systems over the
competitors considered, was the electronics.
The electronics gives advantages and behaves in a much more
structured way. This meets the needs of the
Telecoms.

Consider:Consider:
Size Is there enough space on the installation site? Will it go through the door? Is there free space for servicing and
operation?
Weight Will the floor carry the load? Can the lift carry the load? How can it be lifted off the pallet?
Fuses Which fuses to use in installation?
Cables What cable size to use in the installation? And where to connect to the DP300E (cable entry)?

Please note on ordering sheet
Consider:Consider:
Heat dissipation:• Ensure correct dimensioning of the air
conditioning system
Diesel generators:• Due to the sinusoidal input current a diesel
generator of only 1.3 times the size of the DP300E can be used. (A diesel for a traditional UPS must be 3-5 times the size of the UPS)
• For very sensitive diesels the DP300E series can be programmed for soft start (diesel
modification).

Consider:Parallel operation:
Parallel to increase output power. Redundancy to increase safety. Up to four standard systems can be paralleled (only parallel boards needed). With external static switch up to nine systems
can be paralleled (parallel boards and external static switch needed.
Parallel systems can have common or separate batteries.
Batteries: Configuration sheet for Johnson control
batteries are available. Battery dimensioning for special applications
has to be handled from case to case.
