The disconnectors ITr and FTr are applicable for arated voltage of 12 kV, 24 kV, 36 kV and 38.5 kV anda rated current range from 630 A up to 4000 A.Higher rated currents on request. The rated short-time current up to 50 kA for a durati-on of 3 s respectively 1 s depending on the modelhas been tested. The described disconnectors areintended for currentless switching in medium-voltageswitchgears.

The earthing switches ES can be used for a ratedvoltage of 3.6 kV, 12 kV, 24 kV, 36 kV and 38.5 kV.Some earthing switches have a short-circuit makingcapacity and are specified with the electrical life E1.The electrical life E0 is specified for earthing swit-ches without short-circuit making capycity.All switchgears are type-tested according to EN62271-102. For each switch an instruction manualfor transportation, mounting and putting into operati-on is enclosed.

General

Technical Description

GeneralThe base frames of indoor switches are zinc-platedand chromated, of outdoor switches hot-dip galvani-zed. The current carrying paths are galvanic silver-plated. The contacts and the contact blades aremade of drawn electrolytic copper.Rustproof pressure springs maintain the requiredcontact force over the whole mechanical life.

EquipmentsGenerally, all DRIESCHER disconnectors and eart-hing switches are equipped with an operating shaft(Ø 30 mm) what enables the optional mounting ofthe actuator on the left for on the right side.The disconnectors with a rated current of 2500 A andhigher, have contact elements with self lubricatingcoat silver-graphite on the impact side.

Operating Conditions

The installation of the switches can be carried out atheights of up to 1000 m above sea level. At heightsabove 1000 m the rated insulating level of the switchhas to be corrected accordingly.The switches are designed for normal operating con-ditions according to EN 62271-1.

According to this the following limiting values apply:Ambient temperature:Peak value of the ambient temperature: +40°CHighest average value over 24 hours: +35°CLowest ambient temperature: -25° C / - 5°C (class "minus 5 indoor”)(class "minus 25 outdoor”)
