It is rightly said that Leisure is important to bring about a positive flow of energy and is a prerequi-site to fulfilling one's dream of creative expression. For the holistic development of children it is in-cumbent that they constructively utilise each mo-ment by indulging in pleasurable and informative activities. The technology consists of techniques, skills

and methods to accomplish an objective. Tech-

nology makes the work completely easy for a

human. As technology has become an essential

part of human's life. It is used in all spheres of

life like in medical, educational and aeronautical

fields. Humans are working every day to mini-

mize human efforts. Thus today it is possible for humans to con-

nect globally. There is an increase in entertainment and leisure

through radio broadcasts and television which also keeps us up-

dated with what's going on in and around the world. We can store

evidence, memories in the form of photographs and videos at an

intangible platform such as drives which are safe and secure. It

has also made possible agriculture easy through machinery and

other advanced tools. It helps in the rapid growth of a country’s

economy. Technology is for discovering the undiscovered. It has

also made possible easy virtual money transactions. There is a

growth in cryptocurrency after the invention of bitcoins. But

somehow, even after such benefits of technology, it is one of the

biggest threats to humanity. Technology is like almighty if used in

a good sense but if it is used destructively then it can be even

worse than demons.

Let’s constructively utilise the technology and prove its worth as

a gifted tool for the humanity.

Benefits and shortcomings of technology

A majority of people in the present era spend more than half of their day in front of smartphones, laptops, computers, and what-not. We do so either for work or for enter-tainment. Ever wondered about its benefits and shortcomings? I myself spend most of

the time in front of my laptop screen either because of studies or entertainment. Mostly it is used for my studies, for in-stance, if I face a problem in any question, I just search online for the answer and try to understand it. If the written form isn't sufficient then I can always look up to my teachers either during the online classes or on the personal window through Whatsapp. When discussing technology, one cannot avoid the fact that social media is one of the biggest sources for connecting peo-ple. It is immensely used in this situation of lockdown, where people cannot leave their houses. On a personal note, tech-tools like laptops and tabs also reduce a lot of paperwork and wastage of ink. Though it's not always advantageous. I have seen many peo-ple spending their whole day, from dawn to darkness in front of the screens, doing nothing just surfing on the internet. The result is blurred vision, dry eyes, headache. “Technology will never replace great teachers but technology in the hands of great teachers is truly transformational”. GAURI WADHWA, XII B

TECHNOLOGY DAY

Innovation is at its peak all year round.

On any far edge of the planet, some scientists in a lab might have created technology that is revolutionary. But the problem is, "How" to make it reach the eyes of the public? Well, the World came

up with "Tech Day" as the answer to this predica-ment. An event where the world feasts its eyes on the Technological marvels, put up for presenta-tion. Every piece of tech that has been on display here was developed and perfected by experts af-ter years of trial and error. Government officials, as well as leading companies of their field, also join this event not only as participants but as spectators as well. New upstarts in their respec-tive fields also get to have their work acknowl-edged and make a name for themselves.

In India, 11th May is recognized as the National Technology day to commemorate India's joining of the Nuclear club. But, the day varies from country to country. Like the one in Texas, is held on 23rd October. It symbolizes that technology is ever-evolving and adapting as life in this universe and that you can never be behind the rapidly changing times.

"Tough time always improves human capacity and gives an

opportunity to explore new dimensions."

During this pandemic time when students were having online

classes,Titiksha teachers were also leaving no stone unturned

to furnish their soft skills to embrace the challenges.They

attended several workshops to enrich and expand teaching

_learning process. They acquired various technical skills to

meet the needs of young learners. Not only studies but con-

tinuous counselling with parents and students helped to keep

us all sailing through this tough time.Crisis brings out the

best. Worksheets, short videos, power point presentation

etc.were some of the key features of online teaching. Teach-

ers really proved to be actual nation builders of all time.

us. Titiksha Public School has walked all the extra

So, it is of utmost importance to under-stand the risks and safety measures while using the same. There should be certain guidelines that one must follow while using the technology:

• Don’t share personal information.

• Never believe in a stranger’s profile.

• Never post publically without consent of your guardian.

• Report anything which bothers you to your parents.

• Never share your passwords.

• Financial transactions only from your personal devices. MOST IMPORTANT- NEVER HIDE ANY ACTIVITY FROM PARENT.

‘To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art’

To make the last working day really special, the Pre - School-

ers immersed themselves in a sandwich making activity on 22

May, 2020.The students kept healthy ingredients like cheese,

slices of tomato and cucumber and corns ready with them.

They assembled the same in the online session and relished

the delicious self-made sandwich treat with an enticing Mov-

ie show.This activity helped the young chefs to be self reliant

and also improved their fine motor skills.
