Driving Directions to Clay Pigeon Scotland

FROM NORTH OF STIRLING(ie Perth, Inverness, Dundee, etc)

1. Leave the M9 Motorway at Junction 10 [A84 to Stirling]. Approximately 4.7 miles to the Activity Centre.

2. At the first roundabout off the slip road take third exit [Ring Road and Business Park]. At the next roundabout (River house Restaurant should be on your left), take second exit [Ring Road]. At the next roundabout, take second exit. Stirling Castle should now be above you on your left.

3. At the roundabout with the A811 (which is the road to Drymen, Kippen, etc) turn left.

4. At the next roundabout turn right, after about 100 metres King’s Park Golf Club should be on your right.

5. Continue up this road until you get to the top where there is a set of two mini-roundabouts. Turn right at the first mini-roundabout and then straight across at the second.

6. Carry on up this road with “Kings Park” on your right and at the next roundabout, go straight across. At the next roundabout, again go straight across. After 300 metres “King’s Park Hospital” should be on your right.

7. At the next roundabout turn right (about another 300 metres past the Hospital), taking you across the Motorway. At the junction turn left [Polmaise Road]. Set your Speedometer Trip to Zero and drive for exactly 2.2 miles.

THIS IS A COUNTRY ROAD PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY

8. After 2.2 miles, you arrive at the entrance to the Activity Centre (which is beside a Ministry of Defence entrance) at the top of the hill.

9. Drive through the road side gates (these should be open). Continue to the next gates and again go through (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE THE SECOND SET OF GATES BEHIND YOU EVEN IF THEY WERE OPEN WHEN YOU ARRIVED). Please continue very slowly and carefully along the track to our Lodge – this is a farm track and should be respected as such.

FROM SOUTH OF STIRLING(ie Edinburgh, Glasgow, Carlisle, etc)

1. Leave the M9 Motorway at Junction 9 [Granada Services Junction]. Approximately 5.5 miles to the Activity Centre.

2. At the roundabout for Junction 9 go round until you cross over the Motorway and then take the first turning on to the A872 [Tourist Route, Whins of Milton].

3. Continue on the A872 for 1.65 miles, crossing straight over a small roundabout (Ogilvie offices), you will pass a Jet garage on your right (marked as Morrisons garage on the map) straight after this go straight over a mini-roundabout.

4. You will come to another mini-roundabout, go straight over this. Continue on this road, passing a video drive-in on your right, unitl you reach the next roundabout. Turn left here and a Shell petrol station should be on your left.

5. Carry on for 0.2 miles then turn left at the traffic lights, you will see Lidls supermarket on your right after turning left at the traffic lights. Continue straight on this road, passing straight over 3 miniroundabouts. At the 4th roundabout turn left, taking you over the motorway.

6. At the T junction after you have crossed the Motorway, turn left [Polmaise Road]. Set your Speedometer Trip to Zero and drive for exactly 2.2 miles.
