DS1500B-RMBatteryReplacement Procedure

1.Pull off the front panel.

2. Remove the battery retaining plate.

3. Pull out the battery cartridge.

4. Remove the four screws from the battery cartridge and open it.

There are three batteries in it.

5. Disconnect the black wire connecting the battery to the UPS.

6.Disconnect the red wire connecting the battery to the UPS. Then remove the other wires connecting the batteries.

7.Install the new batteries. With the battery terminals facing you, make sure that the main red wire is connected to the red terminal of battery #1 and the main black wire is connected to the black terminal of battery #3. 8.Complete the installation by connecting the two other wires between battery #1 and #2 and between #2 and #3 as shown.

9. Close the batteries cartridge and tighten the four screws.

10.Slide the battery cartridge into the UPS.

11.Reinstall the batteryretaining plate.

12.Put back the front panel.
