The Margaret River wine region is located around 250 km’s south of Perth in Western Australia. The region comprises the rolling hills of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge,between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin. To the west, the Indian Ocean provides a dramatic boundary of cliffs and some of the country’s most pristine beaches.

With a Mediterranean style climate it is renowned for its production of over 20 percent of the countries premium wine market.

With the first significant planting of vines taking place in 1967, the region now stretches some 100km from north to south and is up to 27kms wide. There are 6 separate subregions that make up the area. There are approximately 5,500 hectares under vine with over 120 different producers in the region.
