VENUE INFORMATION:

The POD @ Kingsdale Foundation SchoolAlleyn Park, Dulwich, London SE21 8SQ

There are two schools next to each other on this road. Kingsdale is marked on the map below. The building is mirrored glass so should be easy to spot. Do not enter Dulwich Prep London, this is an entirely separate school.

There is a gate from the car park to the entrance of the building that we will use. There will be festival banners marking the entrance. I have also included photos of the entrance we are using. As you come in through the second sliding door, you will see The POD to your left, and also a giant fish statue.

The festival is not responsible for any loss of property whilst on-site at the venue including belongings and vehicles.

How do I find my audience tickets? Please show your tickets on your mobile phone at the welcome desk to gain entry. You are welcome to print your tickets if you cannot display these on your phone. If you cannot find your tickets, search in your inbox for Billetto, Hoop or Eventbrite depending on where you purchased the tickets. If members of your party are arriving at different times, you will need to make arrangements for tickets to be given to separate arrivals that have not already been scanned.

I need to buy audience tickets on the dayPlease arrive at least 20 minutes early and bring the correct cash payment: £10 for adults, £5 for children of any age. We cannot give out change on the desk. Tickets are cheaper if bought online: https://billetto.co.uk/en/e/audience-tickets-for-the-7th-annual-dulwich-music-festival-piano-competition-in-south-london-tickets-274327

Do I need to attend for the whole day? No, you only need to attend for your session but your Day Pass ticket is valid all day. We encourage performers to listen to other classes, not just their own performance, as you will hear a wide variety of new repertoire that you may like to learn.

Checking-in processPlease arrive early to allow time to check-in. On arrival, we will allocate you a coloured wristband according to whether you have consented to be photographed or not.

A Note to TeachersSeveral teachers have signed the forms for their students but these are not valid. Please ensure parents head to the other welcome desk to fill in the forms. If you have not consented to be photographed, see the section below regarding red wristbands.

Red Wristbands = No PhotosIf you have not filled in the form above and/or you do not wish to be photographed, please ensure you collect a red wristband on arrival so that the photographer can identify which participants have not consented to be photographed. This must be worn on your right wrist and displayed clearly above clothing at all times. It is the responsibility of the guardian of the competitor to ensure the band is fitted properly and visible at all times. Audience members of Under 18s are asked not to photograph anyone with a red wristband and only to photograph your own child during the performance.

ProgrammesThese are included in the entry fee – one per performer (irrespective of number of classes entered). Programmes are not available to competitors in the Casio Competition.

Copy of Music for AdjudicatorsPresent a copy of your music to the adjudicator as you go up to perform. Photocopies are fine in this instance but will be destroyed and not returned to you.

Order of playingIf there are a number of no-shows for a class, then the playing order will be altered and playing number will be brought forward so we ask you to be ready to play as the first competitor in your class. Prompt arrival for your class is vital. The timings in the schedule are a guideline only and classes may end earlier so do not rely on this if you are arriving late.
