Directions: Copy the following notes for SENTENCES in your DWL section of your binder.

SentencesA sentence expresses a complete thought. A sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark (! ? . …)A fragment does NOT express a complete thought. •Sometimes a subject (who or what) is missing. Example: My likes to snowboard.•Sometimes a verb (action word) is missing. Example: Stan, Sara, and Chan to snowboard.

Don’t confuse an imperative sentence with a fragment. Example: Go! (The subject you is implied).
