DX  SYSTEMA COMPLETELY NEW HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATION RANGEBased on the large experience in demand-controlled ventilation, Aereco introduces several new innovative heat recovery ventilation systems providing room by room airflow control.

These products are dedicated to residential applications and can be either installed in false ceiling, thanks to a small thickness, or in kitchen cupboard, due to optimized dimensions.

Best energy efficiency

In terms of control strategy, DX System is composed of 4 versions starting by the most performant - “Excellence”, ensuring individual room-by-room air supply and exhaust control, down to simpler versions such as “Premium”, “Evolution” and “Reference”. It makes the range scalable and adaptable precisely to the needs of each user.

The DX System optimally uses the exhaust heat to preheat the fresh air and thus offers an energy-efficient solution, whatever the version. Moreover, the demand-controlled management enables to scientifically reduce the electrical consumption of the system. The best energy-efficiency class A+ is achieved by three versions of the DX System.

Comfort and Indoor Air Quality at their best

The DX System enhances indoor comfort by providing healthy air, at a milder temperature, preheated by the integrated heat exchanger. To feel good at home, the “Excellence” and “Premium” versions, adapt, at any time, airflows to the occupants needs in every room based on the sensor’s inputs (CO2 or presence). The demand control strategy specific to the DX System follows two main purposes: to reduce inherent noise from the heat recovery system while guaranteeing the best Indoor Air Quality. Besides, in order to maximize the filters life-time, their dimensions and filtration surface have been optimized to prevent from outdoor particles.

Touch screen or control modules for visualization, setup and diagnosis

A colour LCD touch screen, supplied with “Excellence” and “Premium” allows the occupant to view system parameters, to diagnose operation, to control setups such as automatic bypass temperature, to boost ventilation or to action a free cooling on demand. It also notifies the occupant when the filters need to be replaced. The “Evolution” and “Reference” benefit from a control module and wifi connection for setup and visualization on Smartphone.

BRING SERENITY AND COMFORT IN YOUR HOME WITH THE NEW DX SYSTEMThe DX System is a range of smart heat recovery ventilation system that supply pollen-free and dust-free preheated fresh air to living areas, ensuring a comfortable feel-good climate. Using a smart airflow control management, the DX System offers optimal indoor air quality while limiting all inherent noises from the ventilation units. In addition to the air quality and comfort it also ensures a substantial energy saving thanks to heat recovery and accurate and automatic airflow adaptation to the occupants needs in all rooms.

DX SYSTEM

How a full demand controlled airflows can reduce electrical consumption of the fans

In addition to significant energy savings on heat losses, the DX  System reduces primary energy consumption by reducing fan power of the unit. The fan type used (highly efficient brushless electronic commutation motors), low pressure operation and average airflow reduction through demand controlled ventilation (50%) allow the DX  System to work at an average power greatly reduced compared to that of a standard heat recovery system using one or several speeds. Power consumption is thereby reduced by more than 50%.

Filters kept clean longer = less power consumption

By reducing the average airflows (by about 50%) with an equivalent indoor air quality, the DX  System reduces the rate of filters clogging, thanks to the reduce volume of air passing through the filters at any given period. Filter durability is doubled compared to traditional heat recovery systems, thereby reducing pressure drops and the power consumption of the motors.

4 AERECO – DX system

Modulation enables a significant reduction in average airflows while providing excellent air quality, with heat losses produced by ventilation lowered by half on average in comparison with a constant airflow ventilation. The heat exchanger operates with a yield of about 87% recovery (DXR efficiency: 82%; DXA efficiency: 93%). Combined, these features achieve about 92% energy savings when compared with a mechanical exhaust ventilation system at constant airflow, with the same indoor air quality.

50% savings on electrical consumption

The average airflow reduction, due to the demand control ventilation offered by the DX  System, also generates important savings on electrical consumption and the impact of this on preheating and fan power (see below) is very positive, saving more than 50% electrical power in comparaison with a constant airflow heat recovery with 92% efficiency.

DYNAMIX® TECHNOLOGY : AN OUTSTANDING ENERGY PERFORMANCE THROUGHOUT THE YEARBy combining the benefits of full demand controlled airflows and heat recovery, which are the pillars of the DynamiX® technology, the DX  System, in Excellence version, delivers outstanding energy performance.

DXR - False ceiling installation

Designed for ceiling installation within the heated space, the DXR provides a truly elegant solution for multi-apartments buildings, where available space for systems is often limited, particularly in renovation projects. Its very low thickness (26 cm) and its reduced width (65 cm) allow easy installation in ceiling spaces (for example in a corridor false ceiling).

DXA - Wall mounted application

The DXA has been specifically designed for cupboards installation. Thanks to its well-fitted dimensions, the DXA can be installed both in kitchen and in other technical rooms, wall-mounted. A creamy white metal sheet covers the front face of the the DXA which allows it to be unnoticed as a technical equipment.

DXR and DXA have been specifically designed to ensure that only one person is required to install them. Wether it is done by using an ingenious concept for the DXR or by specific handles on the side fore the DXA, both of these new products use innovative concept to simplified their installation.

Filters can be easily replaced without dismounting the unit, both on the DXR and on the DXA, by just simply removing the trapdoors.

DX  SYSTEM - AS FLEXIBLE AS NEEDED, FOR RENOVATION AND NEW BUILD

SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION AND EASY FILTERS CHANGE

Through the DX  System, a completely new range of heat recovery ventilation systems has been designed by Aereco to offer you the maximal flexibility in your choice for the adequate ventilation solution.

DX SYSTEM INSTALLATION LAYOUT

Main difference of Premium & Evolution DX Systems is that the exhaust airflow is still regulated individually in each room, while the supply air is modulated globally for all the dwelling.

Premium, Evolution and Reference version

Compared to the Excellence version, the Premium version does not use any hub. At least, one sensor on the supply side helps adjust the airflow.

In the Evolution version, the supply side is replicating the demand controlled extract side

The Reference version brings further simplification of the control algorithm, providing constant airflow at supply and exhaust. For more details please refer to our selection guide.

Excellence version

Airflows are automatically controlled according to the needs of each dwelling’s room. Outdoor filtered air is supplied 3 in the bedrooms and in the living room. Stale air is extracted 6 , 7 from the kitchen, bathroom and WC.

The supply airflows to all main rooms are regulated based on the inputs from one or many CO2 sensors or presence detectors 5 . On the exhaust 6 side, the airflow is adjusted, according to parameters read by various sensors (BXC): humidity in the kitchen and bathroom), and presence detector in WC.

The total supply and exhaust airflows are balanced thanks to an exhaust-controlled compensation valve 8 , installed in the bathroom or in the kitchen 7 . An additional compensation valve, integrated in the DX Hub 2 , adjusts supply compensation airflow, supplying preheated 4 fresh

air in the living room, in the kitchen or in a corridor.

Principle of operation

The DX System is comprised of a main unit 1 DXA (wall-mounted) or DXR (ceiling-mounted) connected to exhaust and supply ductworks. The counter-flow heat exchanger, integrated into the main unit, ensures the recovery and transfer of most of the energy from the exhaust air to the supply air, thus limiting the energy required to heat the fresh air.
