Metal and its reflections, the absence of colour and all the fascination of a material with a technical and artistic vocation inspired Naxos to create Academy, a new collection of coverings in a perfectly contemporary style. Academy’s graphic and chromatic minimalism, revolving around black, white and grey, recalls the elegance of great architectural projects and proposes an original, evocative design.Academy includes three-dimensional structures inspired by metal cantilevered walls, as well as surfaces aesthetically similar to artistic manufactures obtained by treating metal with paint and rust. Academy clay tiles feature plastic motion and iridescent enamels recalling the reflections typical of treated metals, while the decorative elements in the collection surprise us with sudden flares of colour, rendered extraordinarily vivid by contrast with the hues dominating the collection.
Il metallo e i suoi riflessi, l'assenza di colore e il fascino di un materiale dalla vocazione sia tecnica che artistica hanno guidato Naxos nella creazione di Academy, la nuova collezione di rivestimenti di stile pienamente contemporaneo. Il minimalismo grafico e cromatico di Academy, incentrata sulle tonalità bianco-nero-grigio, richiama l'eleganza delle grandi realizzazioni architettoniche e propone un design suggestivo e originale.Academy comprende strutture tridimensionali ispirate alle pareti metalliche a sbalzo, ma anche superfici esteticamente affini ai manufatti artistici ottenuti trattando il metallo con effetti di vernici e ossidazioni. Le Tavelle Academy presentano movimenti plastici e smalti iridescenti che rimandano i riflessi tipici dei metalli trattati, mentre gli elementi decorativi della collezione sorprendono con improvvise fiammate di colore rese straordinariamente vivide dal contrasto con le tonalità che dominano la collezione.

Naxos produces Academy in the large 42.5 x 119.2 cm size, ideal for putting together walls of great aesthetic value and underlining the minimal beauty of these ceramic surfaces. The range also includes coordinated fine porcelain flooring inspired by the same materials to complete the look.
