8th Grade Career Unit and Interviews For more than fifteen years, eighth graders at Horace Mann Middle School have explored college and career readiness through an intensive Career Unit. This unit takes place during the month of April when the students conduct a career exploration in social studies class and manage a budget for a month in math class, among other things. As a culminating event, all 8th grade students participate in employment interviews. 30 volunteers from our community will be at Horace Mann to interview 232 8th grade students. The 8th grade interview day is scheduled for Thursday, April 18th. Materials will be provided so you may help your student prepare. It's an exciting day for your 8th grader. Mark it on your calendar.

Hi Parents/Guardians, Infinite Campus is our school district’s hub for grades. Many of you already review this often to see the progress your child is making throughout the year. If not, please contact Kathy Tyskiewicz, Technology Assistant, at [email protected] to set up an Infinite Campus account. Infinite campus is a great way to view grades. With that said, have you ever wondered what my child did today at school or what they missed during an absence? Have you asked your child how their day was and the response was “good” without any details?

Itslearning is our district’s hub for day-to-day business. Teachers post learning targets, assignments, projects, and a classroom calendar. Below, it shows the three steps to creating your itslearning parent portal.

Thanks,

Horace Mann Staff

3 Steps to Creating Your itslearning

Parent Portal

1. Create An Account Contact your child’s building Infinite Campus administrator (Kathy Tyskiewicz, Technology Assistant, at [email protected]) to create an account. You will need to have an active account to have an account created in itslearning. If you already have an account, skip this step.

2. Reset Your Password Navigate to goo.gl/zZzxfb. The letters are case sensitive. Here you will type in the e-mail address that is associated with Infinite Campus. Click “Send Request” to receive an e-mail to reset your password. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam folder.

3. Log Into itslearning Navigate to wausau.itslearning.com and use your e-mail address and newly created password.

Troubleshooting If you receive an error that you are using an Invalid Username or Password, make sure that you have an account created in Infinite Campus. If you are still having difficulties accessing the itslearning parent portal, contact Reggie Smith ([email protected]) with the Technology Department to reset your password.

Parent Portal

The itslearning parent portal will give you access to learning targets, assignments, projects, and a classroom calendar or planner. This centralized location will allow you to log into just one spot to view the activity of your child in their courses.
