Cob Pile Ablaze Several of the local fire boys responded to a call for

help from the Karl Howard farm Sunday afternoon

when a pile of cobs ignited from a spark. The chemical

equipment was loaded onto the Sidwell truck and made

A few buckets of water soon brought the blaze under

control. Mr. Howard was in town Monday with a load

of cobs which he guaranteed to burn since he had seen

a demonstration of their combustibility the day before

and knew whereof he spoke.
