    By the end of the seminar, participants are going to be able to:

    y To know the steps to create a profile in Edmodo

    y To know how to upload material to Edmodo

    y Give at least 3 examples about the usage of Edmodo for teaching English at Utec

    y To describe at least 3 advantages of using Edmodo for teaching English at Utec

    Introduction of the topic:

    In the XXI century the use of technology is growing rapidly and people interests are different so people need

    new ways of instruction using electronic devices to enhance learning. People are more familiar with

    technological equipment and web applications since they had bored. Nowadays, people have computers at

    home or portable computers for them to use and do most of their work using computer applications.

    Description of Tasks or Activities to be done, (Methodology) Include the use of Web-based resources:

    The methodology will be constructivist for participants to vivid the process of getting to know the website. The

    activities will be oriented to practice the steps of creating a profile under the category Teacher because

    students will have to create a profile under the category of Student. These categories will help you to

    organize your material that will be available for your students and they can access to the information provided

    for any homework assigned.

    The website offers you many options to enhance students` learning through different items, for example:

    upload material for students to download, discussions boards, groups, grades, calendars to schedule activities,

    polls, links, and some other options.

    Purpose of the activity: To enable students to demostrate the process for uploading educationalmaterial into the Edmodo profile.

    Instructions for the activity:

    y Select some educational material to upload like a word document, a PPT, a spreadsheet.

    y Click on the file icon that is located on the upper side of the page.

    y Embed a link to your profile.

    y Create an assignment (see worksheets).

    y Create a survey (See worksheets).

    Send the survey and the assignment created to your peers based on the instructions providedon the worksheet to the people joint in your group.

    Purpose of the activity: To help students analyze the use of Edmodo in an EFL classroom.

    Instructions for the activity:

    y Work in pairs.

    y Work on the worksheet provided by the instructor.

    y Answer the questions on the worksheets on how would you use Edmodo in your class.

    y Compare your ideas with your peers.

    At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to have their profiles ready with the specific stuff upload in

    the page. However, the evaluation will be assessed after any activity done to measure what they have learned

    during any activity. The final evaluation will be the Edmodo profile with all the components embedded in the

    site for students to use it. Each profile will be evaluated using the check list provided by the instructor at the

    beginning of the seminar.
