    技術概觀

    本文說明QNAP ES1640dc企業級儲存設備與Microsoft Exchange Server搭配運作的解決方案。

    我們已經備好安裝在Windows Server 2012 R2虛擬機器(VM)的Exchange Server 2013資料庫,

    並使用 Microsoft JetStress Utility進行測試,協助評量實際 IO效能。

    每一個Windows Server 2012 R2 VM均連接 4個由 QNAP ES1640dc儲存提供的 iSCSI LUN,

    來放置資料庫及其記錄檔。此外,每個 Exchange Server均已設定多路徑 I/O (MPIO)連接,以

    便在服務期間具有容錯移轉和負載平衡功能。

    QNAP ES1640dc儲存組態設定

    4*200GB 2.5” SAS SSD供快取加速使用。

    12*1TB SAS HDD,含 RAID1+0集區。

    建立 4*250GB iSCSI LUN供資料庫使用、2*64GB iSCSI LUN供資料庫記錄檔使用,以及啟

    用的 SSD快取供每個 LUN使用。

    ESXi Server組態設定

    Supermicro SYS-6028U-TR4T+,搭配 Intel® Xeon® 處理器 E5-2620v3和 256GB RAM。

    VMware vSphere 6.0 Update 1b (ESXi ISO Build 3380124)。

    Exchange Server組態設定

    Exchange 2013驅動程式(ESE版本 15.00.1130.002)。

    Microsoft JetStress Utility(JetStress版本 15.01.0318.000)。

    4*Windows 2012 R2虛擬機器,分別搭配 4 vCPU和 16 GB RAM。

    連接 4*250GB iSCSI磁碟機供資料庫使用、2*64GB iSCSI磁碟機供資料庫記錄檔使用,以

    及使用 64KB配置單元大小格式化每個 Exchange Server節點。

    設定 VM vNIC介面卡為 VMXNET 3,以獲得最佳網路效能。

    每個 DAG的伺服器數量:4(2個供主要站台使用、2個供次要站台使用)。

    Exchange信箱數量:4,000個信箱(每個伺服器 1,000個信箱)。

    預估每個信箱 IOPS:0.168(每個信箱每天平均收發 250封郵件)。

    每個信箱大小:2GB。

    每個 Exchange Server的資料庫數量:4(2個主動、2個被動)。

    每個資料庫的信箱複製數量:2(2個主動、2個被動)。

    注意:Technet Blog Exchange Sizing Guide 提供相關表格,可計算在每個信箱每天收發

    250封郵件的情況下,至少需要的 IOPS為 0.168。

    測試結果摘要

    儲存效能結果

    JetStress在 4個 VM之間同時執行,而每個 Exchange Server具有 4個資料庫。

    在 JetStress測試完成後,顯示其中一個 Exchange Server的每秒目標交易 I/O為 168,每秒

    達成的交易 I/O約 232。

    總結

    根據所有 Exchange Server的 JetStress報告,此 DAG每秒總達成交易 I/O為 1100 IOPS以上,

    可服務 4000位信箱使用者。
