MEN’S FELLOWSHIP....FISHIN’ REPORT ALer much planning,
prep and prayers, 12 men went to Lake Erie this past Sunday and
Monday with great expecta-ons to catch lots of Walleye. Li,le
did any of them know, they would be standing out in heavy rains
and more “fishin” was done than “catching” that day. We did
bring home some dandy Walleye and interes-ng fish stories!!
The best part of this ou-ng will be the FISH FRY at 6:00 pm on
July 5th at the church. We invite everyone to come and share a
dinner of fresh Walleye from Lake Erie and Crappies from local
lakes. We just ask that you bring your appe-tes and a covered
dish and the rest will be furnished. Mark your calendars for July
5th at 6:00 pm in the FLC.

What a privilege it is to come before the Lord together in prayer! We take these special
requests to the Lord and ask for His hand of guidance as He works in the lives of our brothers
and sisters around the world. We pray the Lord uses them in a mighty way and we pray they are
the hands and feet of Jesus as they minister to children through the shoe box giLs and The
Greatest Journey. It is with great joy that we walk alongside these dear men and women in pray-
er.
As we join together in prayer, let us pray for the precious children who are receiving these
giLs, that their hearts would understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for them. In
addi-on to the distribu-on of the shoe box giLs, our interna-onal partners are con-nuing to
train distribu-on partners in the effec-ve use of giLs and the implementa-on of The Greatest
Journey discipleship program.
Five Apps: (if you don’t know what an “app” is, just keep moving on)
• ESV Bible – free, easy to use, a great transla-on
• Flixster – best movie app; watch trailers; get reviews; check local
theaters
• MapMyRide – use for running, biking, walking, etc; keeps track
route, speed, distance, calories burned and more
• FighterVerse – Scripture memoriza-on made easier; provides vers-
es, quizzes, songs, etc.
• FlowFree – niLy puzzle game to pick up and play when you have a li,le down-me
Five Movie Nights: (a combina-on of old and new; please keep ra-ngs in mind)
• October Baby – stars a friend & Taylor alum; powerful film that proclaims what a giL
life is
• The Incredibles – simply the best animated film I’ve ever seen; I Google The Incredibles
2 once a week with eager an-cipa-on
• The Hobbit – in some ways a deeper, darker Hobbit than the book, but s-ll has much of
it’s brilliance; everyone loves a journey tale and this one is superb
• Pride & Prejudice – not a dude’s movie, but the most recent adapta-on of Austen’s
novel is the rare chick flick that doesn’t make me want to yell at the screen
• The Count of Monte Cristo – in my top 5 of all -me; compelling portrait of redemp-on
& brotherhood, while showing the vanity of revenge
Five Summer Reads: (you knew there would be a book category)
• Peace Like a River by Leif Enger – no book has cap-vated me more over the past few
years, s-ll vivid in my mind
• The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien– don’t make excuses, just read it; truly raises my affec-
-ons for Jesus as I see Him imaged in Gandalf (prophet), Frodo (priest), and Aragorn
(king)
• The Complete Calvin & Hobbes by Wa,erson– now in paperback :)
• Fearless: The Undaunted Courage and Ul/mate Sacrifice of Navy SEAL Team SIX Opera-
tor Adam Brown by Eric Blehm – my brother will disown me if I don’t men-on this
book
• Growing Up Amish: A Memoir by Ira Wagler – definitely piqued my interest in an area I
knew very li,le and definitely heightened my thankfulness for God’s grace
