Malaysia, Jun 1 India and Singapore today signed eight agreements for enhancing cooperation in the areas of financial services, public administration, cyber security, combating drug trafficking, capacity building and training. The agreements were signed after high level bilateral talks between Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong in Singapore today. In a joint press statement after the talks, Shri Modi said both the countries reviewed bilateral ties and decided to have a road-map to take the relationship forward. He said the second review of comprehensive economic cooperation Eight agreements signed after high level bilateral talks between PM Modi, Lee Hsien Loong agreement concluded and both the countries decided to upgrade it in the days to come. Prime Minister said air services agreement will also be reviewed for increasing air connectivity further. Currently the scheme is available only on online bookings. To provide confirmed accommodation to waitlisted passengers and also to ensure optimal utilisation of available accommodation, Alternate Train Accommodation Scheme-VIKALP was introduced in 2015. Under the scheme, waitlisted passengers of a train could opt for confirmed accommodation in alternate trains. In the revised reservation form, passengers are given an option either to avail the option of VIKALP scheme or not to avail it. If the option of Vikalp is availed by passengers, they would have to mark choice of alternate train departing within 48 hours. Opting for VIKALP does not mean that confirmed berth will be provided to passengers in an alternate train. It is subject to the availability of train and berth. Railways allows passengers to book their tickets from counters using VIKALP scheme

Dubai, June 1

The ICC has included Nepal,

Netherlands, Scotland and the

UAE in their ODI rankings list

apart from the 12 existing

countries.

The ICC release states that

results of all the bilateral ODIs

involving these new teams will

henceforth be taken into account

while calculating the rating

points. The Netherlands

secured ODI status and a place

in the 13-team ODI league by

winning the ICC World Cricket

League Championship last

year, while Scotland, Nepal and

the UAE earned ODI status by

finishing as the three leading

associates (along with the

Dutch) in the ICC Cricket World

Cup Qualifier 2018.

Scotland have been ranked in

13th on 28 points - 10 points

behind 12th ranked Ireland -

while the UAE are another 10

points behind on 18 in 14th

position. The Netherlands have

13 rating points. Nepal and the

Netherlands will need to play

four matches more in order to

get into the table.

"Teams earn points from each

match they play against

opposition with an ODI rating.

Points and matches played

between May 1 2015 and April

30, 2017 will be weighted at 50

per cent, whereas matches

played after May 1, 2017 will

be weighted at 100 per cent.

"The positions of the 12 Test

playing countries, who were

already on the table, are not

affected by the introduction of

these new teams on the table,"

the release said.

NOTICE Allotment of Professional/Technical/Non-Technical Courses at Mainland Institutions for the

academic session 2018-2019 It is for information of all concerned that as per the criteria/formula enumerated by the Ministry of Home

Affairs, following are the tentative procedure for allotment of reserved seats for the students of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Professional/ Technical/Non-Technical courses at Mainland Institutions during 2018-2019 :-

(i) Criteria for allotment of seats to various categories fixed by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi’s Order No.U-14040/5/96/ANL, dated 30th May, 1996 is as under:-

Deputationists and Central Government Employees with transfer liability to serve outside the Union Territory, provided the candidates in this category have studied

the last two years in the islands and passed the qualifying examination from a

school in the Islands.

Settlers who were settled prior to 1942 and those who were settled under various

rehabilitation schemes introduced after re-occupation of the Islands.

The seats in this category will be allocated as under:-

(a) Pre-1942 Settlers 1/3rd (b) Others Settlers 1/3rd

(c ) Seat to be allocated on the 1/3rd

basis of combined merit of (a) & (b) above

Other locals who do not fall under (I) (II) or (III) above and such Central Government Employees having no Transfer liability to serve outside the Union

Territory, provided all have had 10 years education in the islands.

General merit quota open to all the residents of A&N Islands irrespective of any

classification. This will be subject to condition that the candidates in this category have studied the last two years in the Islands and passed the qualifying

examination from a school in the islands.

PwD : 5% seats are reserved for PwD candidates on interlocking reservation basis i.e. horizontal reservation cuts

across vertical reservation (various categories of students in A & N Islands). Since the PwD candidates have to be placed in the appropriate category viz. Category-I, Category-II, Category III A, Category-III B and Category–IV.

(ii) ONLINE applications will be invited from eligible candidates by giving wide publicity through Local

Newspapers/All India Radio/ Website of A&N Administration for considering allotment of reserved seats in

Colleges/Institutions at Mainland. (iii) The candidates should submit their application ONLINE at

http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.

(iv) Candidates have two options; either they fill the Admission Application Form through Common Service Center (CSC) or through internet by accessing the portal via URL http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.

(v) If the candidates are applying through CSC, they are advised to pay the charges/fees at CSC Counter for filling up the application forms based on the criteria as stated below:

i. Filling in Application Form at Rs 10/- ii. Scanning & Uploading documents/testimonials including photograph in Color format at Rs. 10/- per document and

Black & White Format at Rs. 5/- per document.

iii. Print out of Acknowledgement Slip: @5/-. iv. The candidates MUST bring the acknowledgment slip (with the seal of CSC if applied through CSC), Original

Documents with self-attested photocopy of documents during the counseling session of their opted courses. (vi) The ONLINE application will be accepted from 05.06.2018 to 30.06.2018 upto 5.00 pm.

(vii) Candidates should fill their ONLINE application form very carefully and no changes will be considered after

submission of the application under any circumstances.

(viii) The Candidates those who have passed +2 exam from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or

Other State Board are requested that before filing their ONLINE application, they may approach the Deputy Secretary (Hr. Edn.), A & N Administration, Secretariat, Port Blair for conversion of marks at par with CBSE.

(ix) The candidates should provide all the mandatory details in the online portal failing which the application will not be accepted by the online website.

(x) The Merit lists will be prepared by the Administration category-wise based on the marks/merit obtained by

the candidates in NEET-2018/+2 qualifying exam/Degree against the allocation of seats reserved by the Govt. of India/ State Govts. The marks obtained in +2 practical will not be taken into account for preparation of merit.

(xi) All the candidates should have appeared and qualified National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-UG (NEET-UG)-2018 conducted by CBSE for allotment of Central Pool BDS, BAMS and BHMS including MBBS & BAMS

(Malayalee Origin) seats reserved for the students of A&N Islands if any allocated by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare/Ministry of AYUSH/Govt. of Kerala.

(xii) The provisional merit lists of eligible candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of Secretariat as well

in the website of A & N Administration for information of candidates for inviting claims and objections, if any, within a specified period which will be notified in due course through All India Radio, The Daily Telegram as well as in the

website of A & N Administration. The claim and objection of the candidate under his/her signature should contain the

registration number of his/ her application, name of course with the page number and serial number of the provisional

merit list against which the claim and objection is sought for is required to be submitted to the Development- IV Section, Secretariat within the notified period of scrutiny.

(xiii) The Administration after carefully considering all the claim and objections shall display the course-wise final

merit lists in the Notice Board of Secretariat as well as in the website of A & N Administration again. Intimation to this effect will be notified in the Daily Telegram/ AIR/ Website of A & N Administration.

(xiv) Once the final merit lists are finalized, candidates shall be informed the date schedule for counselling through The Daily Telegram/ AIR/ Website of A & N Administration. No individual communication to this effect will be given

to any candidate in any category, in any manner. Candidates should attend for counselling in person along with their original certificates and other testimonials at their own cost.

(xv) If any seat is surrendered by candidates of the respective category, the seat will be allotted to the candidates

of said category based of final merit list of the respective category. Whereas, left-out seat of Category–I, II, III & IV will be allotted to the candidate stand in the final merit list of General Category (Category- V) on merit.

(xvi) Nomination once accepted will be treated as final. Similarly, no request will be entertained for change of Seats/Institutions/Colleges. The Institution once selected by the candidate at the time of counselling will be final.

(xvii) The last date of admission in some of the Institutions and the eligibility criteria of certain courses in certain

Institutions/Colleges are yet to be confirmed, the same will be known to the candidates through The Daily

Telegram/AIR/ Website of A & N Administration on receipt of such information from the concerned Institutions.

(xviii) Candidate seeking allotment in Professional/ Technical/ Non- Technical courses including Malayalee Origin and B.Ed Bhopal seats has to execute an agreement bond while the seat is being allotted on merit basis according to

their eligibility as has been the practice in the previous years. (xix) On allotment of seats, it will be the responsibility of the candidates to make their own arrangement to reach

the allotted Institutions and to complete the formalities of admission in time. The Administration is not responsible or

liable in this case, in any manner. (xx) The Administration will not be responsible, in case any candidate is rejected by any mainland

Institutions/Colleges on account of change in eligibility criteria/requirements/ policy/late reporting to the institutions where seat is allotted by the Administration.

(xxi) Candidates allotted with Degree level Engineering or Architecture seat in National Institute of Technology (NIT) under Home State Quota shall not be eligible for Administration seats i.e. they will be eligible for any one seat

either NIT Home State Quota or Administration seat.

(xxii) The seats will be finally allotted to the eligible candidates only after the receipt of confirmation to UT Administration from the Govt. of India/State Govts/ concerned Institutions.

(xxiii) Any candidates of this UT Islands once allotted and accepted any of the seats through counselling by A & N

Administration or ONLINE by JOSAA/CSAB NEUT, but not utilized/ continued the course for any of the reason

thereof will not be eligible for allotment of any other seat further from Administration quota. (xxiv) The candidates shall be called for counselling on a fixed date, which shall be notified through AIR, Port Blair

and in The Daily Telegram, as well as in the website of A & N Administration. No individual communication shall be

sent regarding date of counselling. (xxv) Further details in this regard, if any, can be obtained from the Deputy Secretary (Hr.Edn.) either in person or

over telephone No. 03192-231158.

Note : As per the direction of the MHRD, the allotment of 110 degree level Engineering, Architecture and B.

Pharmacy seats reserved at mainland institutions for the student of A & N Islands will be done by CSAB NEUT -2018. Therefore, the students and parents are requested to check the portal of CSAB NEUT-2018 for

further details in regard to allotment of said BE/B.Architecture/B.Pharmacy seats.

(ii) Equal preference will be given to the candidates who have acquired degree from the colleges of A&N Islands as well as at Mainland subject to the condition that the candidates are belong to one of the five categories laid down in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs order No. U-14040/5/96/ANL dated 30/5/1996. (iii) The Administration will not be responsible, in case any candidature is rejected by the host Institute on account of change of eligibility criteria /requirement or policy or late reporting to the Institution.

(iv) The candidate who has already been considered for B.Ed course in Govt. Tagore College of Education, Port Blair will not be nominated for B.Ed course in Institute of Advanced Study in Education (Govt. College of Education), Bhopal.

NB:- 1. Eligibility criteria for some courses as defined above are based on the last year allocation (2017-18) the

same is subject to change as per revised criteria of the Institutions/College, if any.

2. The marks obtained by the student in +2 practical examination will not be counted while preparing

Merit list for allotment of reserved seats in professional, technical and non-technical courses on the mainland

For B.ScB.Ed course, the candidates should have registered as well as appeared in the Common Entrance Exam-2018 conducted by Regional Institute of Education and should have passed in +2 Science stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. The candidates should have either the subject combination of (a) Maths, Physics and Chemistry or (b) Biology, Physics and Chemistry at +2 level candidates should have passed +2 Examination in science stream. Candidates who have passed +2 exam before 2016 will not be considered for admission.

(f) BL Integrated Course Code 62 2 seats For the above course, the Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination in (10+2) courses for schooling and have secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate in case of General candidates (45% in case of ST candidates). Candidate should not

have completed 20 years age as on 01/07/2018 (22 years for ST candidates).

(g) General Nursing Code 63 10 seats

(i) Bangalore – 5 (Female unmarried) (ii) Kolkata – 5 The candidate proposes to apply for the above course are required to be fulfilled the following state-wise eligibility criteria:- (i) The eligibility requirement in Bangalore, the candidate must be 10+2 passed equivalent board all over the country i.e. Science, Arts and Commerce and 40% score in English (for ST 35%). The Candidates should have completed 17 years as on 01.09.2018 and not exceed 35 years. (ii) The eligibility requirement in Kolkata, the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination. Candidate age must be in between 17 years-27 years as on 01/01/2018.

(h) B.Sc. (Nursing) Code 64 02 Seats

Female (unmarried) The candidate proposes to apply for the above courses are required to be fulfilled the following state-wise eligibility criteria:- (i) Kolkata – Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board, and must have aggregate 50% marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (PCBE) in case of General Candidate (45% in case of ST candidates). The minimum age of the candidates should be completed 17 years as on 31/12/2018 and maximum age limit is 28 years. (ii) Kerala – Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) put together. required to submit online application and upload the copies of Xth and XIIth class Pass Certificates, Statement of marks, Birth Certificates, Migration Certificates, Duration Certificate and the certificate to the effect that he/she is of Malayalee Origin settled in these Islands, from the Revenue Authority not below the rank of Tehsildar, certificate of 10 years continuous education in these Islands from the Head of Institutions where the candidates studied for last 10 years and the local certificate from the Revenue Authority.

The Administration will not be responsible, in case any candidature is rejected by the State Institution/Colleges on account of change in eligibility criteria/ requirement or policy or late reporting to the Institutions.

For determination of merit, the practical marks will not be taken into account for B. Sc (Agri) course. However,

both the theory and practical marks will be shown in the nomination letter. The ONLINE application will be accepted from 05.06.2018 to 30.06.2018 upto 5.00 pm.
