Playoff Recap

Aston Ice Works

On February 1st at Aston Ice Works the EJEPL hosted the

9 U Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 4 teams with

the Highest Krach Rating.

Semi- Final # 1 featured Top Seed Ashburn Xtreme vs

4th seeded Red Bank Generals. Ashburn’s Rylan

MacCormick scored the 1st goal of the game on 11 sec-

onds in. Derek Moon scored the next Ashburn goal with

3:41 left in the 1st to give Ashburn a 2-0 lead after one

period. Ashburn held a 3-0 lead in the 2nd when Red

Banks Zachary Fitcher scored the Generals 1st goal to

cut the lead to 3-1 to end the second period, Ashburn

went on to score the next 3 goals and win the game 6-

1. Ashburn will move on to the Championship Game.

Semi Final # 2 featured 2nd Seeded Li Arrows vs 3rd Seeded Philadelphia Revolution, Li Arrows Charles Mathiesen and Shawn Ger-

tler scored 1st period goals for the Arrows giving them a 2-0 lead after one period. Revolution’s Snow scored the 1st goal of the

2nd period to cut the lead to 2-1 but Arrows Cooper Goldspiel and Julian Colon would add goals of there own and the Arrows

beat the Revolution 4-1. Arrow will face Ashburn in the Championship Game.

Bronze Medal Game – featured the Red Bank Generals vs the Philadelphia

Revolution. This game saw 10 different goal scores for the Revolution who

went on to win the game 10-1. Philadelphia Revolution are the 2020 Bronze

Medal winners for the 9 U Jim Salfi Conference.

Championship Game featured Ashburn Xtreme vs the LI Arrows. Ashburn’s

Derek Moon scored a shorthanded goal for the 1st goal of the game with 7:42

left in the 1st period. Ashburn would go on to score 4 more 1st period goals to

take a 5-0 1st period lead. Goal were scored by Harris, Huh, Moon and Kao.

Ashburn added 3 more goals in the second period one by Gavin Hubbs and

two by Ryan Huh which gave him a hat trick for the Game. After two Shutouts

Ashburn Elliott Hieber was named MVP. Congratulations to Ashburn Xtreme

and Coaches MacCormick , Cross and Pouliot on winning the 9U Diamond

Championship.

Herb Brooks Conference

Playoff Recap

Aston Ice Works

On January 31st at Aston Ice Works the EJEPL hosted

the 10 U Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 8 teams

with the Highest Krach Rating in a round robin format.

Top 8 teams competing Ramapo Saints, Hampton Roads

Jr. Whalers , Delco Phantoms , Ashburn Xtreme, Red

Ban Generals , Leigh Valley Phamtoms , Howard Huskies

and LI Arrows. After Round Robin Play Ramapo, Delco ,

Ashburn and Howard all finished 2-1 and would move

on to the Semi- Finals.

Semi Final # 2 featured Howard Huskies vs Ramapo Saints. Jaxon Vargas would

score Howards 1st goal with 5 minutes to play in the first and after one Howard

leads 1-0. Teams would then traded goals back and forth with Howards Luc

Najar scoring his 2nd goal of the game with 955 left to give Howard a 4-3 victory.

Howard Huskies will face Delco in the Championship Game.

Championship Game

Howard Huskies would face off against the Delco Phantoms in the Championship

game of the 10 U Diamond Herb Brooks Conference. Howard took a two goal 1st

period lead with goals by Jason Schoenthal and Kellen DePola. Delco would

answer back in the 2nd period with goals by Rosco Trivarelli and two goals by Jason

Ronsvalle. Delco had a 3-2 lead after 2. Delco’s Ronsvalle completed his hat trick

with the games next goal with 943 left in the third period for a 4-2 phantoms lead.

Huskies would cut the lead to 4-3 on a goal by Tyler Hall but that would be it and

Delco won the game 4-3. Jayson Ronsvalle was named MVP. Congratulations to

the Delco Phantoms and coaches Charbonneau, Sutton, Landrum and DiPalma on

winning the 10 U Diamond EJEPL – Herb Brooks Conference Championship.

Semi- Final # 1 featured Ashburn Xtreme vs Delco Phantoms. Just 17 seconds into the game Xtreme’s Cooper Breisswinger scored

the 1st goal of the game. 12 seconds later Delco tied the game on Jayson Ronsvalle goal assisted by Chasse Robinson. Phantoms Will

Turner scored unassisted with 747 left in the first to give Delco a 2-1 lead and that would finish the scoring as Delco claimed a 2-1

victory and the Delco Phantoms will move on to the Championship Game.

Mark Bavis & Garnet Bailey Conference

Playoff Recap

Aston Ice Works

On January 31st at Aston Ice Works the EJEPL hosted the

11 U Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 6 teams with

the Highest Krach Rating. Quarter Final # 1 featured #3

Seeded Kent Elite vs #6 Seeded New Jersey Bandits.

Kent Elite won the game 2-1 and moved on to the Semi-

Finals vs #2 seeded LI Arrows. Quarter Final #2 featured

#4 seeded New Jersey Freeze vs #5 seeded NYC

Cyclones. Cyclones toped Freeze 5-2. Cyclones moved

on to semi-finals to face top seeded Ashburn Xtreme.

Semi Final # 2 featured Kent Elite vs LI Arrows Mikey Johnson scored the 1st goal of

the game 1:29 into the 1st period to give the arrows a 1-0 lead. Rocco Daly added

a goal with 11:18 left to give the Arrows a 2-0 lead. Kent’s Samuel Koehler cut the

arrows lead to 2-1 with a goal with 9:43 left in the 1st as Arrows Johnson added his

2nd goal in the 1st to give the arrows a 3-1 1st period lead. Arrows added goals by

Daly and Barrins in the 2nd to take a 5-1 lead into the third , Kent’s Avery Fixman

scored two goals in the third to cut the lead to 5-3 but that ended the scoring and

the LI Arrows 5-3 victory moved them into the Championship Game vs Ashburn

Xtreme.

Championship Game

LI Arrows faced Ashburn Xtreme in the Championship game of the 11 U Diamond

Mark Bavis & Garnet Bailey Conference. Goalies Nate Pitman (6 saves) and Carson

Ramsey (8 saves) both turned away all 1st period shots in the 1st period for a 0-0

score going into period two. Arrows Lucchi scored the games 1st goal with 1141

left in period 2. Xtreme’s Konchar tied the game with 1024 left in the 2nd. Arrows

would again take a one goal lead with a goal by Barrins but that was all the scoring

from the Arrows as Ashburn went on to score the games next 4 goals with goals

by MacCormick ( 2goals) and Lauterstein(2goals) and Ashburn would win the

game 5-2. Ashburn Tristen MacCormick named MVP. Congratulations to the

Ashburn Xtreme and coaches MacCormick , Konchar, Lauterstein and Pouliot on

winning the 11 U Diamond EJEPL – Mark Bavis & Garnet Bailey Conference

Semi- Final # 1 featured Ashburn Xtreme vs NYC Cyclones .

Ashburn’s Ethan Hong scored the games 1st goal with 1123

left in the first period and would also score the next two

goals registering a hat trick while Tristan MacCormick

added a 2nd period goal which gave Ashburn a 4-0

victory . Ashburn Goalie Andrew McGill registered a shutout. Ashburn’s victory moved them onto the Championship Game.

Aston Ice Works

On January 31st at Aston Ice Works the EJEPL hosted the 12 U

Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 8 teams with the Highest

Krach Rating. Top 8 teams were Ashburn Xtreme , Protech

Ducks, NYC Cyclones, Nassau County Lions, West Haven Blue

Devils, Mid State Mustangs, CT Jr. Whalers, Genesis Hockey.

Round Robin Play was very competitive with 5 one goal games

with 4 of them going into overtime and one ending in a tie. Top

4 moving on to the semifinals Ashburn Xtreme (3-0) ,Genesis

Hockey (2-1) and Protec Ducks (1-1-1) and NYC Cyclones (1-1-1).

Semi- Final # 2 featured Ashburn Xtreme vs NYC Cyclones . Ashburn’s Parker

Johnson scored the games 1st goal 1:20 into the game. Ashburns Zachary

Greenland recorded a hat trick in the game while Mack Mckee, Tyler Bria and

Camden McCarthy added goals for Ashburn in a 7-1 Victory. Ashburn’s victory

moved them onto the Championship Game

Championship Game

Genesis Hockey faced Ashburn Xtreme in the Championship game of the 12 U

Diamond Jim Prior Conference. Protec Ducks Tompkins and Jones scored 1st

period goals to give the Ducks a 2-0 lead in the 1st period, but the next six goals

would go to the Ashburn Xtreme giving them a 6-2 victory in the Championship

game. Xtreme’s Zachary Greenlund recorded a hat trick while Samburg , Anzilotti,

and McKee added goals for the Extreme. Ashburn Xtreme Goalie Brady Knode

named MVP. Congratulations to the Ashburn Xtreme and coaches Brandenburg,

Knode, Bria and MacCormick on winning the 12 U Diamond EJEPL – Jim Prior

Conference Championship.

Semi Final # 1 featured Protec Ducks vs Genesis Hockey Ducks

Deryk Jones scored the 1st goal of the game 1:50 into the 1st

period to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead. Genesis’s Jacob Warner tied

the game with 7:41 left in the 1st period. Ducks Furman scored a

power play goal with 6 minutes left in the second to give the

ducks a 2-1 lead while Genesis added a power play goal of their

own by Anthony Dowd with 2:13 left in the second period to tie

the game at 2. Protec scored the next goal with a goal by Alan

Litovsky. Genesis answered with goals by Maxwell and Malone to take a 4-3 lead with 2:23 left. Protec tied the game with 38

seconds to play with a goal by Tompkins which tied the game and Ducks Litovsky netted his second goal of the day 14 seconds later

to score the game winner with 22 seconds to play. Protec Ducks moved to the Championship Game vs Ashburn Xtreme.

Dan Esdale Conference

Playoff Recap

Aston Ice Works

On January 31st at Aston Ice Works the EJEPL hosted the

13 U Diamond 1 Playoffs featuring the Top 7 teams with

the Highest Krach Rating. Top 7 teams were Genesis

Hockey, New Jersey Stars, Hunterdon Bears, Ashburn

Xtreme, Long Island Gulls, Hampton Roads Jr. Whalers,

Ramapo Saints. Top 3 moved on to Ashburn Xtreme

(3-0) will move to the Championship game vs the win-

ner of Hampton Roads Jr Whalers (2-1) and New Jersey

Stars (2-1).

Semi- Final featured Hampton Roads Jr Whalers vs New Jersey Stars. The New

Jersey Stars got off to a 1-0 lead on a shorthanded goal by Gavin Frith and took

a 1-0 lead at the end on one. Whalers Hudson Woodley scored a power play

goal with 1322 left in the 2nd to tie the game at one. Stars Nicholas Izzo scored

with 9:52 left in the 2nd for a Stars 2-1 lead. Whalers would score the next four

goals with goals by Robert Rajnys (2 Goals) Anthony Azzarello and Hudson

Woodlwy, to give Hampton a 5-2 win. Hampton’s victory moved them onto the

Championship Game vs Ashburn Xtreme.

Championship Game

Hampton Roads Whalers faced Ashburn Xtreme in the Championship game of

the 13U Diamond 1 Dan Esdale Conference. Ashburn Xtreme got off to a quick

start scoring 2:03 into the game and scored the games first 4 goals scored by

Luke Haraszkiewicz (2 goals) Noah Reasbeck and George Clavin. Hampton would

get goals by Vriniotis and Biehl. But in the end Ashburn added a goal from

George Clavin for a 5-2 victory in the Championship game. Ashburn Xtreme Luke

Haraszkiewicz was named MVP. Congratulations to the Ashburn Xtreme and

coaches Alexander Guerere , Nicholas Guerere , Troy MacCormick and Gary

Pouliot on winning the 13 U Diamond EJEPL – Dan Esdale Conference

Playoff Recap

Aston Ice Works

The top 4 teams from the 13 U Diamond two faced off

with the top 4 teams from the division. In semifinal #1

the NYC Cyclones faced off against the Red Bank

Generals. Generals Tyler Laroy scored the only goal in

the 1st to give the Generals a 1-0 lead after one.

Cyclones Samuel Turkowitz scored with 832 left in the

2nd to tie the game. Generals Zachary Cooper added a

goal with 113 left in the second for a 2-1 lead after two.

Cyclones Ptashek tied the game with 9:24 left. Generals

get goals by Defazio and a power play goal by Nicholas

Chaknis to give them a 4-2 lead, Cyclones Anton

Lesokhin scored with 145 left to cut the lead to 1 but

that was all the scoring and the General win 4-3 and

move on to the Championship Game.

. Bronze Medal Game

NYC Cyclones faced the NJ Freeze in the Bronze medal game , after a scoreless

1st period , NJ Freeze’s Zach Naval scored the 1st goal with 5:30 left in the

second period and 11 seconds later Michael Ferry scores to give the Freeze a

2-0 lead. Freeze would add two more goals by Isaac Stock and another by

Michael Ferry for a 4-0 victory in the game.

Championship Game

In the Championship game in the 13 Diamond 2 division the Red Bank

Generals took on the Philadelphia blazers and the game did not disappoint

needing overtime to find a champion. The Red bank Generals took a 1-0 lead

on a goal just 45 seconds into the game with an unassisted goal by Grayson

Goldin. Philadelphia’s Aronne Arehart Scored a third period goal with 2:58 left

in the game to tie it at one. Red Bank Goalie Jack Elias make 12 saves in the

game and Philadelphia Blazers goalie Dillon Gallagher made 20 saves in the

game. In overtime General’s Brendan Cavendish scored the game winning

goal to give the General’s a 2-1 victory. Congratulations to the Red Bank

Generals on winning the 13u Diamond 2 Championship and coach Mike Elias.

In the Semifinal # 2 NJ Freeze faced Philadelphia Blazers. Blazers Matt Cholaj Scored the 2 goals and Santino Tiberio to

give the Blazers a 3-0 lead, Nj Freeze Liam Parr netted one in the loss. Blazers won the game 3-1 and move on to the

Championship vs Red Bank Generals.

Championship Game

Reston Raiders faced Top Seeded Pro Tec Ducks in the

Championship game. Reston came away with the victory

3-1 to win the Championship. Tyler Forrest was named

MVP. Congratulations to the Reston Raiders and Coaches

Ivey, Rieger, Arbuckle, Reinke, Forrest on winning the 14 U

Diamond EJEPL – Phil Coleman Conference Championship.

On January 31st at Aston Ice Works the EJEPL hosted the 14 U

Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 9 teams with the Highest

Krach Rating. Top 9 teams were Pro Tec Ducks, Charlotte Rush,

Atlanta Fire, Montgomery Blue Devils, Montclair Blues,

Clearwater Ice Storm, Reston Raiders, Philadelphia Blazers, York

Devils. Top 4 moved on to the semi finals Protec (3-0) York Devils

(2-0-1) Charlotte Rush (2-1) and Reston Raiders (2-1).

Semi Final # 1The Reston Raiders faced York Devils, Raiders

William Cahill scored the games 1st goal with 4:50 left in the 1st ,

Raiders Maddox Sheehan added a 1st period goal for a 2-0 lead.

Devils Jackson Mimnagh cut the lead to 1 and after the 1st Reston

led 2-1. Reston Raiders Connor McCarthy scored a power play

goal with 11:25 in the 2nd period and scored again with 13:52 left

in the game to give the Reston Raiders a 4-1 victory.

Semi- Final #2 featured Protec Ducks vs Charlotte Rush, Ducks Elian Estulin scored the games 1st goal with 5:20 left in the 1st period

and gave the Ducks a 1-0 lead. Charlotte scored two 2nd period goals to take a 2-1 lead , goals were scored by Trevor Boudreau and

Zachary Onze. Protec’s Estulin scored his 2nd goal of the game with 55 seconds left in the game to send the game into overtime. In

overtime Ducks Nathan Meola scores with 4:51 left in the 1st overtime moving the Protec Ducks onto the Championship Game.

Playoff Recap

Revolution Ice Garden

On February 1, 2020 at Revolution Ice Garden the

EJEPL hosted the 15 U Diamond Playoffs Badger Bob

Johnson Conference featuring the Top 6 teams with the

Highest Krach Rating. The Top 6 teams Li Rebels ,

Philadelphia Blazers, LI Edge , Rogue , Team

Philadelphia , Red Bank Generals.

In the Quarter finals both games went into overtime ,

Li Edge defeated Red Bank Generals 2-1 and Team

Philadelphia defeated Rogue 1-0. In the Semi Finals the

LI Rebels defeated the LI Edge 4-1 and Team

Philadelphia is defeated by the Philadelphia Blazers 3-2

in Overtime. In the Championship game the LI Rebels

defeated Philadelphia Blazers 6-4. LI Rebels Matthew

McCarthy named MVP. Congratulations to the LI Rebels

on the EJEPL 15 U Diamond Championship

On February 1, 2020 at Revolution Ice Garden the EJEPL

hosted the 18 U Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 4

teams with the Highest Krach Rating. The Top 4 teams NYC

Cyclones , LI Edge , Hampton Roads , Delaware Ducks.

Semi Finals # 1 Li Edge faced NYC Cyclones and the LI Edge

won 3-1 to move on the 18 Diamond 2 Championship.

Semi Final # 2 Hampton Roads Face Delaware Ducks and

the Ducks won 4-2 and they will move on to play the LI

Edge. In the Championship game the Delaware Ducks

defeated the LI Edge 4-1. Ducks Samuel Griffith and Dylan

Hadley named MVP. Congratulations to the Delaware

Ducks on the EJEPL 18 Diamond 2 Championship.

Dan Esdale Conference

Playoff Recap

Igloo Ice

On February 1, 2020 at Igloo Ice Arena the EJEPL hosted the 16 U Diamond 1

Playoffs featuring the Top 6 teams with the Highest Krach Rating. Quarter

Final #1 the 4th seeded Delco Phantoms vs the 5th seeded NJ Rockets where

the Delco Phantoms defeated the Rockets 2-1. After a scoreless 1st period

the NJ Rockets took a 1-0 lead with a goal by John Crowdell. Delco answered

back with the next two goals, one by Matt Harris and the winning goal by

Logan Downs. The Phantoms will move on to face the # 2 seeded Red Bank

Generals. Quarter Final # 2 featured 3rd seeded Genesis Hockey Club vs 6th

Seeded Montgomery Blue Devils. In a back and forth game the Montgomery

Blue Devils upset the Genesis Hockey Club by a score of 6-4. Blue Devils

Luke Cashion and Oscar Smink both recorded a Hat Trick foe the Blue Devils

While Goalie Jonas Clark recorded 21 Saves. Montgomery moved on to face

the #1 Seed Ashburn.

Semi- Final # 2 featured 2nd seeded Red Bank Generals vs Delco Phantoms ,

Delco struck twice in the 1st period to lead 2-0 after one with goals by Max

Reiss and Dan Quartapella. With 1232 left in the 2nd Generals Nick Colao

cutting the lead to one, Delco Quartpella added his 2nd goal of the game and

Brian Barnett finished the scoring leading the Phantoms to a 4-1 victory over

the Generals. Delco Phantoms will take on Ashburn Xtreme in the

16 Diamond Championship.

Championship

The 16 Diamond Championship game features Ashburn Xtreme Vs Delco

Phantoms , Ryan Kertis off to a fast start scores 35 seconds into the game to

with 16:55 left in the 1st period. Haverford went on to a 2-1 1st period

lead with goals by J. Monastra and Q Hawley. Tomorrows Ice Edward

Mosk pulled his team within one with 19: 08 to go , but Haverford’s,

sealed the game with a goal with 7:16 left and went on with a 3-2

victory. Haverford will face Top seeded Ashburn in the Championship

Diamond 2 Playoffs featuring the Top 6 teams with the Highest Krach

Rating. Quarter Final #1 featured the 4th seeded Tomorrow Ice vs the

5th seeded Montgomery Blue Devils where Tomorrow Ice defeated

the Blue Devils 5-3. Tomorrow Ice trailed 3-2 beginning the second

period and scored the next three goals for the win. Tomorrow Ice will

move on to face the # 2 seeded Haverford Hawks. Quarter Final # 2

featured #3 seeded Team Beijing vs #6 Seed Palmyra Black Knights.

Palmyra led 1-0 after 1 period, Team Beijing’s Zyiyi Lyu tied the game

with 605 left in the game. Palmyra’s Hayden Henry scored the game

winner with 0:02 left in the game assisted by Patrick Naughton. The

Palmyra Black Knights moved on to face the #1 Seed Ashburn

Extreme.

Semi-Final #1 Top Seeded Ashburn Xtreme faced off against Palmyra Black Knights, Ryan Shiner started the scoring with 15:08

left in the 1st period and Evan Gould add a goal in the 1st period to take a 2-0 lead into the second period. Palmyra’s Vida

Othello cut the lead to one at the 17:05 mark. Ashburn’s Ryan Schnier empty net and second goal of the night capped off the

scoring and gave Ashburn won the game 3-1 and will play in the 16 Diamond 2 finals on February 2nd.

Semi Finals # 2 had the #1 Seeded Reston Raiders vs Howard Huskies Blue and

after a scoreless 1st period , Reston’s Austin Ayers assisted by Vincent Giordano

and Cooper Corbatt with 21:20 left in the game. Huskies Jack Callaghan

assisted by Wesley Crofoot tied the game at 1 with 4:10 to go in the

game. The game went into overtime and saw some exciting 4X4 Hock-

ey , in the 1st overtime Huskies goalie Algatt stopped 13 shots while

Raiders goalie stopped 8 . With 12:16 left in the 2nd overtime Raiders

Owen Morgan assisted by Atticus Beane scorded the game winner. The

game saw 82 shots between the two team , Huskies Algatt stopped 37

shots and Raiders net minder Burch stopped 41 shots. Reston Raiders

will move on to the Championship game to face the NY Stars on Febru-

Championship Game featured the NY Stars vs Reston Raiders and saw

the NY Stars take a 1-0 lead just 4:16 into the game with a goal by

Anthony LaTona, assisted by LaChase and Divita. Stars LaChase added a

Goal with 11:10 left for a 2-0 lead. Reston Raiders Michael Fields cut the

lead to 1 on a shorthanded goal with 10:16 left in the 1st. Stars LaTona

added his second of the game 21 seconds into the 2nd period for a 3-1

lead. Raiders Owen Morgan cut the lead back to one with a goal with 7:44 left in the game , but that would be all

the scoring. Stars Goalie Michael Marino recorded 31 saves in the game. Congratulations to the Greater New York

18 U Diamond Playoffs featuring the Top 6 teams with the

Highest Krach Rating. Quarter Final #1 featured the 4th

seeded Team Philadelphia vs 5th Seed Howards Huskies

and the Howard Hskies defeated Team Philadelphia 3-1.

Howard scored 3 1st period goal in win. Howard will face #1

seed Reston Raiders in the Semi-Finals. Quarter Final # 2

featured #3 seeded New York Stars vs #6 Seed Red Bank

Generals. New York Stars went on the win the game 4-1.

Joseph LaChase lead the way for the stars with a goal and

assist. Stars will move on to face the #2 Seed Hagerstown in

the Semi-Finals.

Semi Finals # 1 2nd Seeded Hagerstown Bulldogs faced off

against NY Stars in the 1st Semi final and Alex Kontorov

scored 1:30 into the game to give the stars a quick one goal lead , Joseph Lachase assisted by Anthony LaTona and Anthony

Divita with 4:58 left in the first to give the Stars a 2-0 lead after one. Hagerstown Carson Maggi and Jacob Mueller netted the

goal just 48 seconds into the 2nd period. Flames Max Bitterman added a power play goal with 3:56 left in the 2nd period. Blue

Devils Kyle Metzler added an empty net goal to give the Blue devils a 3-1 victory that moved them onto the Championship

Semi- Final #1 featured York Devils vs NJ Bandits for the 1st two

periods Goaltenders McIntyre (York) made 25 saves and Bandits

Bernice 17 saves for two scoreless periods. Bandits Nick Marino

scored with 5:42 left in the game, but Devils Grant Zart tied the game

just 10 seconds later. Devils Bam Smith gave York the lead with 1:58

left in the game and Luke Steward scored an empty net goal to give

York a 3-1 victory that moved them into the Championship game .

Semi Final #2 featured Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs vs Team Philadelphia

Dawgs Andrew Haskins scored the games 1st goal 57 seconds in and John Kenney scored a minute later to give them a 2-0 lead.

Team Philadelphia’s 10 netted a 1st period goal with 55 seconds left which cut the lead to 1. Philadelphia’s 15 tied the game at 2

Championship Game

Team Philadelphia faced off against the LI Gulls in the 16

Futures Championship game on February 2, 2020 , Team

Philadelphia’s James Baker scored the 1st goal of the game

with 7:16 left in the 1st period. Harrison Weingarter scored

for Team Philly 4 : 30 into the 2nd period . Li Gulls Nathan

Shalamov scored a power play goal for the LI Gulls to cut the

lead to one with 9:33 left in the game. Krischan Sullivan

sealed the victory with an empty net goal with 26 seconds to

go. Team Philadelphia’s Goalie Jack Davis had 26 saves and

was named game MVP. Team Philadelphia finished the

season with a perfect EJEPL record 22-0 . Congratulations to

Team Philadelphia and Coaches Dave Hendricks and Kevin

Grove on a great season.

On February 1, 2020 at Igloo Ice Arena the EJEPL hosted the 16 U

Futures Playoffs featuring the Top 6 teams with the Highest Krach

Rating. Quarter Final #1 featured the 4th seeded LI Royals vs the 5th

seeded Hunterdon Bears where the Bears defeated the Royals 3-2.

The Bears were led by Ian Sherry with two goals. The bears will

move on to face the # 1 seeded Team Philadelphia. Quarter Final # 2

featured #3 seeded Delco Phantoms vs #6 Seed Ashburn Extreme. In

a well played game the Delco Phantoms broke a 3-3 tie with 715 left

in the game to win 4-3 game winning goal was scored by Phantoms

Daniel Lawless. The Delco Phantoms moved on to face the #2 Seed

Li Gulls. Semi Final #1 featured the #2 seeded LI Gulls vs #3 seeded

Delco Phantoms and the game saw one goal at the 3:44 mark of the

1st period scored by Jacob Horenstein and assisted by Ryan Piarulli of

the LI Gulls. Joe Fico made 14 saves in the Shutout. Li Gulls advance

to the Championship on a 1-0 victory

Semi Final # 2 featured the top seed Team Philadelphia vs Hunterdon Bears, Team Philadelphia had 5 different goal scores in a 5-0

victory. Goalie Jack Davis had 11 saves in the shutout. Team Philadelphia advances to the Championship game facing the LI Gulls on

February 2nd at Igloo.

New England Sports Village

At the New England Sports Village the EJEPL held the Womens Playoffs for the 12 U Alexandra Carpenter Conference,

14 U Angela Ruggiero Conference and 16/19 U Cammi Granato Conference February 21st – 23rd.

In the 12 U division the Lady Islanders faced the NJ Bandits

in a best of 3 Championship series. The 12U Champions NJ

Bandits beat the Lady Islanders after 3 games. Game one

the Lady Islanders won 3-1 , but in the elimination game the

NJ Bandits won 2-1. In Game 3 both teams were shut out in

the first two periods but just 12 seconds into the third

period Nj Bandits Claire Chanfrau assisted by Natalie Tang

for the games 1st goal. Bandits Jolie Vaiana added a goal for

the NJ Bandits giving them a 2-0 victory. Congratulations to

the NJ Bandits and Coaches Steven Morris, Amanda

Peterson and Lou Almond on the 12 U EJEPL Alexandra

Carpenter Conference.

In the 14U Division the Top 4 teams faced off in a Round robin

format. Top 4 teams were NYC Cyclones, Lady Islanders, Phila-

delphia Little Flyers and New England Pioneers. After the

Round Robin games the NYC Cyclones (2-1) faced Philadelphia

Little Flyers (2-1) in the Championship game Cyclones Laila

Pasic scored the 1st goal 1:51 into the game and Leila Nielsen

scored with 11:38 in the 1st for a 2-0 Cyclone lead after one.

After a scoreless 2nd period , Flyers Amanda Beatty cut the

lead to one with 11:59 left in the game , but that would end

the scoring giving the Cyclones a 2-1 victory. Congratulations

to the NYC Cyclones and coaches Brian Dowd and Brianne

Mahoney on winning the 14 U EJEPL Angela Ruggiero

Conference Championship .

In the 16U Division the Top 4 teams faced off in Round Robin for-

mat. The Top 4 teams were Lady Islanders , Montclair Blues, York

Devils, Philadelphia Little Flyers. After the Round Robin games the

Lady Islanders (3-0) faced Philadelphia Little Flyers (2-1) in the

Championship game. In a well payed game where the goalies

kept the game scoreless for the 1st two periods , Lady Islanders

Jordan Ferry assisted by Zoe Galanoudis scored the games 1st goal

with 1:34 left in the game, for a 1-0 Islander lead. Zoe Galanoudis

scored with :38 seconds left to seal the game for the Lady

Islanders 2-0 victory in the Championship game. Congratulations

to the Lady Islanders and coaches Chris Zarcone and Alyssa Marro

on the 16 U EJEPL Cammi Granato Conference Championship.
