WHAT IS KEY CLUB?
Key Club is an international service organization with
roots in countless countries around the world. Run in
tandem with Kiwanis International and its associates,
Key Club strives to provide its members with
opportunities to help build themselves and their
respective communities.
As a student-led organization, Key Club gives
students the ability to make a substantial change
through their actions. Volunteers help perform acts of
service through events such as bake sales, organizing
food drives, cleaning parks, helping in non-profit
marathons and walks, and helping disabled children
and the elderly. Additionally, the club allows
members to develop expansive leadership skills by
holding official club positions, running meetings, and
organizing the club’s service projects.

WHAT MAKES KEY
CLUB SPECIAL?
Unlike other high school service clubs on campus,
Key Club provides the unique opportunity to
independently run the club. On each level of Key
Club’s organizational level, there are countless
positions which high school students could fill.
Additionally, Key Club has a unique service initiative
which allows for a substantial focus to be made on
certain worldly issues in order to make a great
impact. Currently, Key Club is aimed at helping the
Eliminate Project, which is a service initiative held
along with Kiwanis International and UNICEF with the
goal of eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus
(MNT). Tragically, one baby is killed by MNT every
nine minutes, with nearly 60,000 newborns dying
annually. Fortunately, however, this issue is being
resolved with the help of funds raised by Key Club
International through club dues, fundraisers, and
donations. With the help of all Key Clubbers, MNT is
slowly declining thanks to the devotion shown by
members around the globe.
