The El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) is accepting proposals from qualified firms to submit Competitive Sealed Proposals for Portable

Fire Extinguisher Service, CSP No. 15-063, Project No. 16.440.

Attendance at a Pre-Bid conference is strongly recommended. The Pre-Bid conference will be held, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at the

Education Center Boeing, Planning, Engineering and Construction Conference Room, 6531 Boeing Drive.

Proposers are invited to be present at the proposal opening. Any proposal received after closing time will be returned unopened. EPISD reserves the

right to accept or reject any and all proposals, any part thereof, and to waive any technicalities in the best interests of EPISD; EPISD may award a

contract to one or more Proposers.

All pertinent documents including, but not limited to, Invitation For Submission of Competitive Sealed Proposals, Instructions to Proposers, Proposal

Form, Standard Maintenance and Service Contract, and Covered System(s) Specifications are contained herein.

Proposers must submit a qualification statement to the office of Facilities, Maintenance & Construction, 6531 Boeing Dr., El Paso, TX 79925, prior

to the date of proposal opening unless a current copy (within the last twelve months) is presently on file with the District. Such statement shall be

submitted on AIA Document A305, Contractor’s Qualification Statement, which shall be properly executed and must include all pertinent

documentation.

PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL

Each proposal must be submitted on the forms provided and returned in a competitive sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Proposer.

NOTE; Section 2252.002, Texas Government Code-- A governmental entity (includes public schools) may not award a contract for general

construction, improvements, services, or public work projects or purchases of supplies, materials, or equipment to a nonresident proposer unless the

nonresident’s proposal is lower than the lowest proposal submitted by a responsible Texas resident proposer by an amount that is not less than the

amount a Texas resident proposer would be required to underbid the nonresident proposer to obtain a comparable contract in the state in which the
