News You Need to Know
IMPORTANT! WESTSIDE SPECIAL MEETING TIMES ON June 7th. NOTE that two services are scheduled for Sunday (there will be no Bible classes on Sunday nor meeting at the building for Bible study on Wednesday nights just yet): (1) A 9:00 AM service for those who are 65 and over; and (2) a 5:00 PM service for those under 65.
We are overjoyed that we can again assemble as God’s people but godly wisdom, responsible Christian action and fervent love and concern for one another must prevail and be practiced by each one (Please read Philippians 2:1-4). As time progresses, and we are able to assess things more in the coming weeks, we hope to begin to participate in more opportunities together. This is our prayer.
Between services, conscientious effort will be made to clean the auditorium, foyer and restrooms (located near the front of the building). We request that all other parts of the building be “off limits” to everyone for the time being (the fellowship room, classrooms, etc.). Parents, make sure children understand this.
With these matters in mind, anyone with questions about the guidelines our elders have set should go to www.westsidesidechristians.org and “COVID-19 - The Latest Update from our Leadership” for further information. In order to ensure the safety of our members while at the same time being able to honor God and to faithfully worship together, we ask that you adhere to these to the best of your ability. We are grateful for your cooperation and we thank God for you! We assure you that you will be informed by our shepherds regarding any changes as things continue to gradually re-open.

Continue in Prayer From Adam’s Desk
We send our heart-felt congratulations to Hannah Patton for a job well-done! From early on, she set the goal of graduating first in her class and worked hard to achieve that goal. Not only did she excel in the classroom, but you can see also excelled in many extra-curricular activities as well. Most importantly, she is a fine Christian young lady who takes her relationship with God most seriously in her life. Hannah, we know you have always made your family proud and we want you to know how much we love you and how proud you have made all of us – your family in the Lord! If you are able, please send Hannah a note and let her know how much you love her, how proud you are of her, and to encourage her as she prepares to leave for college and embark on her next adventure. Proud parents are Troy and Sarah. Proud sisters are Hallie, Madison, and Maycie. Way to go, Hannah! Thank you for the prayers offered for our family last week as we traveled to Missouri and back. We had a wonderful time visiting with family and hearing wonderful lessons at the 4th Annual “Show-Me State Lectureship” that is hosted by the Lord’s church in Branson. If you are interested in additional material to listen to as you are driving or sitting with your family, all sermons from that lectureship are archived on the Branson church of Christ Facebook page. There were many outstanding sermons delivered on a variety of subjects. Our plea for teachers for next quarter continues. While we do not know exactly when classes for our young people will resume, we do want to be prepared. It has been decided that we will pick up where we left off last quarter and resume with last quarter’s material. This will ensure that our young people have covered the material. If you were teaching this past quarter and would like to teach still when our current quarter resumes, please sign your name. If you were teaching last quarter and will not be able to teach when classes resume this quarter, please return your teaching materials to me or to Julie. We appreciate the effort that you make to educate our young people from God’s precious Word!
