♫ Donna Sipp ♫ Lyrics by Mrs. Varvel
Donna Sipp was born right here,
quite a gal let’s make that clear!
She’s a Grandma, mom and business woman too!
How you did it all we don’t have a clue.
Donna went to Hay Springs Schools-
Where she honed her business tools
Then she went to work at Stiele Department Store
Clerking, stocking and much more.
Chicken Roost, Dancing Late-
She met George her future mate
So she moved to the farm and learned to milk a cow-
Also learned to cook fine chow!
Mom to Marty and Judy Sipp, Donna’s life was quite a trip!
As a Bank Director, School Board member too
Is there anything she didn’t do?
Donna Sipp, We must say you’re amazing still today
She is a grandma mom and business woman too
How you did it all we don’t have a clue.

♫ Don Peters ♫ Lyrics by Mrs. Varvel
Don, Don Peters
Had to ride his horse
In the blizzard
It was cold of course.
Don created a romance
When he met Donna at a dance
Don learned much while on the farm
Where he built a piggie barn.
Don, Don Peters
Worked very hard
When he wasn’t working
You could find him playing cards.
Don was a sailor
And a carpenter they say
He valued education
And he worked hard everyday.
So we honor Don you see.
To thank him for his service
To our community.
