Company History ofBeha was established in 1917 in Porsgrunn, Norway as manufacturer of electric heaters and cookers. Beha is one of the oldest and most traditional electrical manufacturers in Norway, still in operation under the same family ownership. The product groups produced by the company today are exactly the same as those produced by the company at the time of its founding – electric cookers and heaters. This expertise, developed over many years, and the fact that Beha has always been at the leading edge of developing new technology and improved production methods creates a sound basis for the company’s excellent reputation in the market.

High Accuracy Electronic ThermostatThe accurate thermostat maintains a stable room temperature for maximum comfort and economy. A correct calculation of necessary heating capacity is of high importance.

Hot air front outletThe heat outlet on the front panel, guiding the warm airflow away from the wall is reducing the possibilities of dust collection and soot deposits above the heater.

Thermostat Protective Cover All heaters come with a lockable dust cover on the control panel. For installation in schools and public buildings the cover can be fixed, removable only by an authorized person.

Feet for BEHA P and L heatersWhen using the BEHA heater as a free standing floor heater please note that the IP protection class will be reduced to IP 20, the heater can thus not be used in bathrooms or other damp areas where prote-ction class IP 24 is required.

Panel Heater AccessoriesBEHA convector heaters are intended for full central heating with a large variety of models covering most needs. The heaters are simple to install and more user friendly than ever.

As the heaters become smaller, the effect is still the same. BEHA Convector Heaters are approved and certified according to international CCA specifications EN 60335 and carry the CE mark, thus complying with European safety standards and stan-dards for electromagnetic compatibility. All BEHA Convector Heaters, are tested and approved for IP 24 rating (splash proof) and can be installed in bathrooms and othe r damp areas.

InstallationBEHA Convector Heaters are designed to fit in at the coldes t part of the home – underneath the windows. The required distance to nearest combustible building part is reduced, so you can safley install your heater under a window and close to

a corner. The heaters can be installed in 2 ways and are supplied with a 1,5 m electrical lead and European plug. A junction box for fixed installation can be fitted on the cross rail of the wall bracket. The junction box is supplied separately.

Advanced heating elementsThe heating elements have aluminium fins with perforations and a large surface, distributing the heat in an effective way. The critical temperature for dust-burning is 225ºC. In a Beha convector heater this temperature will occur only for a short period when the heater is switched on in a cold room. After a short while the ele-ment temperature will stabilize at 90ºC. Therefore the front panel’s surface-tempe-rature will be under the prescribed 80ºC.

Frost guardAll BEHA Convector Heaters have a built-in “frost guard” symbolis ed by a snow crystal on the thermostat temperature setting wheel. This function ensures that the room temperature will not drop below 5°C even if the thermostat temperature whee l is turne d towards the off position.

Bathroom installationThe heater can be installed in different rooms, including bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms etc. The heaters are approved by all major approval regulators and have protection class IP 24.

Easy cleaningThe heater tilts forward on the fixing bracket for the ease of cleaning behind.

Electronic ThermostatAll BEHA Convector Heaters are fitted with an on/off switch and a triac controlled electronic thermostat maintaining a stable room temperature. The thermostat’s typical deviation is 0,2°C at 20°C room temperatu re.

Double insulatedFor safe installation and operation the panel heaters are double insulated and can be conne-cted to any 220–240V wall power outlet, earthed or not earthed.

Ingress Protection – IP – is an international classification characterising the level of protection for electrical appliances. The protection can be against intrusion of fingers, dust or water. The first digit of the number designates protection from objects and the second digit protection from moisture. Consequently the installation of electric heaters in bathrooms and other damp areas will require special consideration to ingress protec-tion (IP-class) of the product and where in the room it will be installed.

Bathroom zones Zone 0: Inside the bath or shower. Any fitting must

be maximum 12V and a minimum of IPX7 (protected against immersion in water).

Zone 1: Above the bath or shower to a height of 225 cm. A minimum rating of IPX4 is required (see note 1).

Zone 2: The area stretching to 60 cm outside the bath or shower and above the bath or shower. An IP rating of at least IPX4 is required (see note 1).

Zone 3: Anywhere outside of zones 0, 1 and 2. Where water jets are not to be used for cleaning purposes general rules apply.

Note 1: In zones 1 and 2, if there is a likelihood of water jets being used for cleaning purposes, a minimum of IPX5 is required.

Note 2: The information contained on this page is for guidance only. The current IEE regulations and code of practice will always prevail.

GME 1500 T Portable Convector Heater

Modern design and cost effective heating improves your indoor comfort.

The portable convector heater GME 1500 T is designed and manufactured at our modern production facilities in Norway. Due to its robust design and high quality it can be used as permanent as well as supplementary heating. The unique heating principle and design makes it the very best solution available for a good indoor climate.

GME 1500 T has a built-in programmable temperature reduction module. Selectable economy options are available by 3 pre-pro-gramming sleeping modes lowering the temperatures 5ºC from the set thermostat temperature.

The 7-hour lowering programme is used for lowering the temperature at night, e.g. from 11pm to 6am. The program works 7 days a week.

The 5-hour programme is used when a room is vacant during daytime and is normally used in combination with the 7-hour program. The programme works 5 days a week.

The heating elements are fitted in specialyy designed slides to prevent the elements from creating unwanted noises due to the natural expansion and contraction. This makes GME 1500T a totally silent convector heater.

The heating elements are made of extruded aluminium with cooling fins and perforations. This special design gives an expanded surface area and a unique heat distribution, reducing the surface temperature.

With Integrated Energy Savings Unit

Thermostat Protective Cover All heaters come with a lockable dust cover on the control panel.

The 15-hour programme is used for lowering the room temperature during night time and day time when att work or school. The programme is active 5 days a week.

Any programme can be overridden by pressing “PAUSE” button. During the pause period the thermostat setting controls the heater. When pressing the “PAUSE” button again the programmes go back to the original setting. All programme settings are indicated by illuminated light diodes when activated.
