START/FINISH PRECINCT STEAMPACKET GARDENSLocated within the start and finish precinct, the event village is the place to go to enjoy the build up of to the race as teams are introduced to the crowd, the riders sign-on and they finalise their preparations before taking on the gruelling course. Get up close to watch your favourite stars prepare. Enjoy the action on the big screen, participate in sponsor activities, enjoy the live entertainment, grab some food and beverage, grab your official event merchandise and then grab a spot on the barriers so that you can catch a glimpse of what promises to be an exciting finale to the elite women’s and men’s road races.Friday 25 January: Vegemite Family ride at 4:30pm – 6:00pm – Come down to the Geelong waterfront for a safe and fun twilight edition of our iconic Vegemite Family Ride, CEGORR partner activities and Q and A’s with feature CEGORR riders and personalities on stage in the evening Saturday 26 January: 6:00am– 4:00pm. Swisse Peoples Ride then Elite Women race preparation, team presentation, start, finish and awards presentation. Big screen coverage, sponsor activations, music entertainment and catering across the day.Sunday 27 January: 9:00am – 5:00pm. Elite Men race preparation, team presentation, start, finish and awards presentation. Men’s finishing circuit passes by start/finish line three times. Big screen coverage, sponsor activations, music, entertainment and catering across the day.How to get there: Public transport is the best way to arrive at the Event Village. Take the train to Geelong Station and a 10-minute walk to the start/finish precinct. If driving, once in Geelong avoid Western Beach and Eastern Beach Road, as well as between Moorabool and Bellarine streets as

there will be road closures. Instead, use Princes Highway, Latrobe Terrace, Mercer Street, Malop Street or Ryrie Street.Top tip: the biggest crowds will gather here and so parking will be at a premium and affected by road closures for the event. Arrive early and be prepared for a short walk from your car and your parking spot, or from the train station.

BARWON HEADS SPRINT – WOMEN BELLARINE BREAKAWAY – CHEER SITEBig crowds will gather in Barwon Heads, the hometown of Cadel Evans, where the peloton flies down the main street. Look out for teams trying hard to establish a breakaway in the race before the course changes direction and hugs the coast at Thirteenth Beach. Grab a bite at a local eatery, visit the shops or hit the local recreational riding trails while in the town. Swisse People’s Ride participants are sure to pack the cafes and restaurants here on the first un-official rest stop.Saturday: 7:45am – 9:15am Swisse Peoples Ride passing through, with several stopping at the cafes for an unofficial rest stop. The Elite Women are expected around 1:00pm – 1:30pm. Sunday: The Elite Men are expected to pass through Barwon Heads between 11:50am and 12:00pm. How to get there: Access via Barwon Heads road if you are early because it is part of the course. Arrive via Ocean Grove if you are running late. For parking, try Flinders Parade, Bridge Road near the IGA. Avoid parking on Hitchcock Avenue, Bridge Road and Ewing Blyth Drive as it’s part of the course.Top tip: Don’t be late if you want to see the riders pass by. Get there early, you have some of the best eateries and cafes to keep you entertained ahead of the race passing through.

SURF COAST SPRINT THE ESPLANADE, TORQUAYIf you love fast and furious racing, head to Torquay to watch the riders battle it out for the Torquay intermediate sprint points. Take advantage of the nearby amenities including local cafes, boutique shops, public toilets and why not cool off at the beach afterwards! This is also a good unofficial rest stop for the Swisse People’s Ride peloton.Saturday: 8:15am – 10:15am Swisse Peoples Ride passing through, with several stopping at the cafes for an unofficial rest stop. The Elite Women are expected around 1:45pm – 2:00pm.Sunday: The Elite Men are expected to pass through Torquay between 12:20pm – 12:30pm. How to get there: Use the Surf Coast Highway if coming from the north and turn left into any street between Zeally Bay Road and Price Street. If coming from the Surf Coast, use the Great Ocean Road and turn right on Anderson Street or Bristol Road.Avoid parking on the Esplanade itself as it is located on course.Top tip: With the Esplanade featuring world class beach on one side of the road and top cafes and eateries on the other, don’t forget about the bike race coming through.

BELLS BEACH KOM & QOM The first King (KOM) and Queen (QOM) of the Mountain Points are up for grabs near the iconic Bells Beach. Cheer on the Elite Women on Saturday and Elite Men on Sunday from this scenic and action-packed location. From here you can get up close to the riders as they take on the Bells Beach climb. Arrive before midday both days to avoid road closures. Saturday: 8:30am – 10:45am Swisse Peoples Ride participants are passing over the climb. The Elite Women are expected around 1:45pm – 2:15pm.

Sunday: The Elite Men are expected to pass through Torquay between 12:30pm – 12:45pmHow to get there: Take the Great Ocean Road and turn onto Addiscott Road, follow to the T-intersection of Jarosite Road where the KOM is only 700 metres away. Alternatively, use Addiscott Road and turn down Bones Road which becomes Bells Beach Road.Park on Addiscott Road and walk down Jarosite Road towards the beach (700 metres) to where the KOM takes place. Alternatively, you can park at any of the Bells Beach Road car parks and either ride or walk two kilometres to the top of the KOM.Top tip: Please note, no amenities are provided at this location so pack your own drinks and snacks.

CHALLAMBRA KOM & QOM LIVE SITE, MONTPELLIER PARK, HIGHTONSee the agony on the faces of the world’s best cyclists as they trade blows up the steep Challambra climb, made famous by the 2010 UCI Road World Championships. The Elite Men tackle this climb four times, while the Elite Women race over Challambra Crescent once on their way to the finish on Saturday. The live site is open from 11:00am – 4:00pm on Sunday. Saturday is a great cheer site to see the Swisse People’s Ride participants on Saturday followed by the Elite Women.Saturday: 9:30am – 1:30pm Swisse Peoples Ride participants travelling up the climb. The Elite Women are expected around 3:15pm – 3:30pm.Sunday: The Elite Men are expected to arrive for the first time between 1:40pm – 2:00pm, and will then climb Challambra 4 times, through until approx. 3:00pm.

Sunday has a feature packed program, featuring the whole race on the big screen, community activities, prizes and giveaways, live MC, music and entertainment, food and beverage as well as the chance to #ChallengeChallambra yourself:- 11:00am – 4:00pm Race live on the big screen 11:00am – 12:00pm Chalk your message to the riders12:00pm – 1:00pm Ride and #ChallengeChallambra1:00pm – 3:00pm Grab a spot on the barriers and watch the race up Challambra How to get there: Arrive early to beat the crowds and traffic management treatments. If coming from Melbourne or the Surf Coast use the Princes Freeway and either take the Barrabool Road off ramp* or Princes Highway off ramp and come up via South Valley Road. If coming from Central Geelong, why not ride your bike. *This is part of the course so please arrive early.Parking: The closest off-street parking is Barrabool Hills Plaza or Highton Village. There is limited on-street parking, but we ask that you are respectful when parking on the street in front of residential properties. Mt Pleasant Road is a good option with a walk from here. Please don’t park on the course.

Where to Watch
