EmbraceEmbrace is the result of Carolina’s collaboration with

two of the healthcare industries premier Interior

Designers. With over 50 years of experience between

them, Linda Bishop and Iris Dates set out to design

a furniture collection that they long felt was lacking

as an option to the healthcare design community.

Furniture that combines high design with the details

and function required for healthcare spaces. Classic

designs refined for real world environments. Furniture

that is timeless and sculptural in its contribution to the

healing environment.

The two designer’s unique perspectives bring an

unprecedented level of experience and knowledge to

the design of Embrace. Details and concerns that are

often overlooked in products designed for healthcare

applications are evidenced throughout Embrace. Wall

protection, bumper rails, clean-outs, arm designs

that allow easy exits, a slightly higher seat height for

patient use, soft curves for comfort and generous seat

widths for varying body types; all details found in the

design of each Embrace offering. Couple these details

with designs that echo a more corporate or residential

style and the result is ideal for creating comforting,

supportive healing environments.
