coded against the five criteria for the Charter and four criteria for Charter PLUS

Success MeasuresGold, Silver & Bronze levels in each of five categories:

» GOLD 8 points» SILVER 5 points » BRONZE 3 points

12-19 points = Bronze20-31 = Silver32-40(max) = Gold

Appearance Standards• Gold - always wears full uniform to the

highest standard, according to school expectations

• Silver - generally wears full uniform to a good standard

• Bronze - generally good but sometimes needs to be reminded of the expectation about school uniform

What’s next ?• Students given time to fill in their evidence sheet and

grade themselves on intranet• Tutors will add their grades• Moderated by HOY & Tutors by end of March• Moderated by APG and Essex 14-19 • On GCSE results day students receive Gold, Silver or

Bronze ‘Employability For Life’ certificate• This will be recognised by Essex businesses: EBC,

Essex Chamber of Commerce, FSB, ECC, IoD, BITC, Business sponsors

Motivation, Commitment and Achievement

Gold has shown persistence and demonstrated sustained levels of self-motivation and a high level of commitment. Works well under pressure. Does not give up. Shows initiative and uses relevant problem solving skills to complete tasks. Can think flexibly, work within guidelines and independently when required. Has shown an excellent level of

achievement.

Silver has shown consistency and demonstrated high levels of self-motivation. Works reasonably well under pressure. Follows instructions and does not give up readily. Has shown a high level of achievement.

Bronze has shown a degree of self motivation and a sound level of commitment. Has demonstrated the ability to work under pressure in the short term. Tries to complete tasks when the answers or solutions are not readily available. Has shown a satisfactory level of achievement.
