Thanks to the scientific importance and their extraordinary beauty, the Dolomites became part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 2009. The intensive blue color of the Lech de Lagació lake, the high plateaus of Lagazuoi and Fanes characterized by the karst phenomena, the fresh pastures between the dark expanses of pine mugo identify a journey through million years.

On the “Tru di pra”, you walk through different types of meadows: fat meadows in the valley, lean mountain meadows at high altitude. These are man-made habitats, created by the painstaking handwork of our peasant ancestors, who used to live in the hay barns in the summer. Today they are still well-kept by local farmers. The wonderful bloom, the chance to see wild animals and the photo exhibition in the hay hut will impress you.

The Dolomites are a sensible ecosystem that needs to be protected. You can become an Eco-Hiker and help us to preserve them. Walking through meadows and woods together with a local expert guide, you can pick up waste and rubbish that unfortunately are lost in nature. We give you the necessary equipment (gloves, bio-bags, …) to help us to remove things that damage our wonderful sceneries. Thank you, giulan, the Dolomites will be grateful!

A unique excursion in the Nature Park Fanes-Senes-Braies from the idyllic Fojedöra Alp to the largest lake of the Dolomites. The Lago di Braies lake is famous and worth a visit and on the Fojedöra Alp you will experience untouched nature, where a group of young students prepare bread and cheese and care for the cattle.

The excursion takes you first through woods, then on mountain meadows of the Munt d’Adagn alp with its numerous ancient huts and its typical flora. The Antersasc alp is placed in a green valley at the foot of the peaks that surround the Puez-Gherdenacia plateau.
