Enabling the Smart IoTUIC Challenge
GreenWaves Technologies Proprietary Information page2
Executive Summary2 year old fabless semiconductor start-up based in Grenoble, France.10 people + a strong relationship with ETHZ and UniBo research Labs
A founding team of industry veterans
Built on the vision that IoT devices will require far more computing power than commonly accepted, with no compromise on low power
We open up IoT complex monitoring solutions based on image, sound, motion sensors,… thanks to an energy efficiency that is 15x better than the state-of-the-art.
Significant traction in its chosen markets
Product already physically emulated, which allows for real use cases demonstration. Samples in March 2017. Production in June

GAP8 for Railways and Trains GAP8 opens up IoT complex monitoring solutions based on image, sound, motion sensors,… thanks to an energy efficiency that is 15x better than the state-of-the-art, at a low cost.
Autonomy can easily achieve10+ years
As devices are battery powered and wirelessly connected (LoRa, LT-NB,… proprietary solutions), solutions can be installed on existing material at a minimal cost.
Thanks to the programmable nature of GAP8, those solutions are future proof, i.e. new applications installed after deployment.
It is applicable to both infrastructures and trains
GAP8 opens the way to augmented railways!

How to bridge the gap?!
Railways operators and a semiconductor start-up are pretty far apart on the value chain!!!
The semiconductor industry is familiar with this situation:it has a long history of introducing enabling breakthrough technologies that initially requires a direct exchange with the customer of the customer of its customer.
We can develop a POC with a railways operator, involving then ecosystem players to make it industrially happen.
