Unique Design
The Endopore dental implant incorporates aunique, truncated cone-shaped design thatuses a multilayered porous surface geometryover most of its length to achieve integrationby three-dimensional bone ingrowth.
Developed in response to the need for asimpler, less invasive and biologically morecompliant system, the Endopore implantemploys an approach that has been usedextensively for orthopedic joint replacementfixation since the mid 1980s.
Outstanding Success Rates
Endopores high rates of success are dueto the Endopores engagement with thealveolar crest by cortical bone ingrowth into
the implants interconnecting pores. Whenthe implant is placed into function, occlusalloads transferred to the crest stimulate furthercortical bone development in accordancewith Wolffs law. In contrast, a screw-type
implant is stabilized only by the alveolar crestssuperior and inferior bone cortices and, overmost of its length, weak cancellous bone. With
threaded implants, the fixation which occursat the bone-implant interface can allow forrotational movement of the implant.

The design of the Endopore implant permitsuniform stress distribution, achieving improvedosseous fixation at the bone-implant interface.The significant and on-going crestal bone
loss does not occur. In fact, the minimal boneloss occasionally exhibited in Endopore userslevels off quickly to clinically insignificantlevels, leading to greatly improved long-termperformance.

Because the porous design greatly increasesthe surface area at the interface between boneand implant, shorter implants can be used. Thisin turn means that Endopore implants can beused in applications for which much longer
threaded implants would be suitable. WithEndopore, it is often possible to avoid sinuslifts or other augmentation procedures in the
maxilla and mandible, allowing for less patientmorbidity and for an implant reconstruction
that can be less traumatic and more affordablefor the patient.
Clinical radiographic and histologicalexaminations have demonstrated repeatedly
that, even with shorter implants, shorterinitial healing periods and simpler surgical
techniques than are customary with otherimplant designs, the Endopore implantoffers superior fixation performance.Most importantly, these results have been
