The Deep Drilling Group actively participates in various KOC HSE activities, and in recent months, the Group has participated in several HSE events, with the latest being the “KOC & Business Partners HSE Day 2017.”

The Deep Drilling Group has shown its support for KOC’s HSE commitments by embarking on a “Greenery” campaign. In its bid to contribute to a better environment, the Group started its tree planting campaign in KOC fields, particularly in locations occupied by DDG rigs and contractor camps.

Deep Drilling Group Manager Saud Al-Foudari and Fayez Al-Fayez, Team Leader DD&WO Gas I, along with Nabors Drilling (NDIL) rig contractor representatives, KOC and contractor staffs, inaugurated the campaign at a well site in Abduliyah Field (AB-17). Ten desert trees were planted both in the rig NDIL-144 area and its nearby campsite. Provided by KOC Horticulture & Conservancy Section, the planted trees were selected due to their characteristics to withstand the harsh conditions of the desert. The idea of the campaign is to leave a rig working area with trees that can survive even without human assistance.

The tree planting activity will carry on with other DDG rigs and to all well sites in the future where the Group will operate.
