The Project included a high level innovative solutions for the design and execution of best solution, among others:

▪ A special concrete mix design that, among other aspects, provided máximum resistance and zero permeability.

▪ Unique design, manufacture, transfer and installation of the new gates, (16 in total), of enormous dimensions and requiring a meticulouse installation.

The new locks fill and empty more rapidly, 7% less wáter; the nine lateral basins employed for the reuse of water make it posible to save up to 60% of this precios commodity.

Sacyr Ingeniería e Infraestructuras also has 24 certifications from internationally recognized standards: ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 50001 (Energy Management) and ISO 14064 (Carbon Footprint) which have different accreditations, ENAC, UKAS and ANAB.

Committed to sustainable construction, we carry out projects as per the requirements of the LEED and BREEAM Certifications, such as: NewPetronor Locker Room, Navy Lodge Expansion (Spain) and the Tlahuac Hospital (Mexico), with LEED certification; construction projects with BREEAMrequirements: homes for Quabit and Kronos, Airbus Getafe Prevention Center and Torre Australis (Spain) and Ulster University (United Kingdom).

In 2018, the work on the Hospital Biprovincial Quillota Petorca (Chile) obtained the Pre-Certification with the CES HOSPITALES standard and that ofRas Bufontas Special Economic Zone (Qatar) the provisional GSAS DESIGN & BUILD (Letter of Acceptance).

All of these projects follow various requirements, including water and energy-consumption efficiency, the use of alternative energies, indoorenvironmental quality improvement, the proper selection of materials and the appropriate management of construction debris.
