Step Aerobicsstep has been a fitness favorite for 18 years for very good reasons. designed to strengthen knees, it’s a fabulous cardiovascular workout. step uses many more muscles than any other type of cardio training, thus reducing the risk of overuse injuries. plus, the effort made to learn the moves is actually wonderful for the brain. While this class is designed for people who are familiar with step, anyone who is interested should sign up, as you will become quite comfortable with the moves within a few weeks. are you taking a swimming Class?

arlington County is proud to provide lessons that are based on the red Cross learn-to-swim program. When registering please make sure participants can complete all necessary prerequisites prior to beginning the class. students who are not at the right level hinder the classes’ ability to function. everyone progresses at different speeds, so it is typical to repeat courses.

public Health requires pools to close when contaminated. swim diapers or snug-fitting plastic pants must be worn by anyone who is incontinent. also please do not eat within 30 minutes of swimming.

Children under nine years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the building. Children under five must have a guardian in the water with them when class is not in session. When registering for a class you are only allowed to swim during the class time, there will be no swimming allowed to class participants before or after the class session. For more information on swimming classes visit our website and search: sWimming.
