The Enfant-Jésus Heritage Site Corporation

December is the month to look back over the past year and review our accomplishments.

In 2008 the RM of Ste. Anne designated the Church of the Enfant- J6sus Heritage Site a

Municipal Heritage Site, paving the way for the transition of the church to a Museum. The Church

building received a new name in memory of the historic road which our ancestors lived and

traveled on. Welcome to the Dawson Trail Museum! We gave the interior a facelift with a fresh

coat of paint, and installed racks to set up the display of artifacts that we have accumulated from

local families. We have a new web site, and access to internet service.

With our full support, the St Boniface Diocese is moving towards subdividing the cemetery from

the parcel land. This will allow the Heritage Site Corporation to purchase the church building for

$1.00 and the remaining property can be sold to provide revenue for the future care and

maintenance of the cemetery.

We have started fund raising towards bathroom renovations and wheel chair access to the

museum. We are about half way to reaching our goal.

None of this would be possible without the support of volunteers and the community. So at this

time we would like to take the opportunity to thank the volunteers for their dedication and hard

work this past year.

All the Best of the Season to you and your families! Please have a safe and Happy Holiday!
