I want to help Y Care International claim 25% extra funds – at no extra cost to me!I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the current tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for the current tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given.

No, I am not a UK tax payer I am a UK taxpayer. I would like all donations that I have made in the past 4 years and all future donations that I make from the date of this declaration (unless I notify you otherwise) as Gift Aid donations.

You can cancel this Declaration at any time by notifying the charity. If your circumstances change and you no longer pay enough income or capital gains tax to cover the amount claimed by the charity, please contact the charity. If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief via your Self-Assessment tax return (currently 25p for each pound you give).** Please notify the charity if you change your name or address.* Gift Aid is linked to basic -rate tax. Basic rate tax is currently 20%, which allows charities to reclaim 25 pence on the pound. **Higher rate taxpayers can claim back the difference between basic rate and higher rate tax.

Thank you for supporting essential Y Care International projects all around the world.

“ My business is called ’Rien n’est tard’ – it is never too late. With my business things have changed for me. I don’t need to ask people for help to get food for my family, and I don’t hang around with bad people that could get me into trouble.”

We support young people trying to survive who are in conflict with the law or at risk of offending.

By providing access to training, education and recreation we improve their well-being and prepare them for a productive life outside prison.

We help them and their communities campaign for justice and equality.

Giving young people a voice and confidence they can become decision-makers and be active citizens in their country.

Youth Justice

Increasing access to justice and improving equality

...84 pence goes directly to supporting young people in emergencies, in developing their skills and their communities and improving their health, and helping young people campaign for change.

...15 pence is invested to generate future revenue and on support costs.

...1 penny is spent on ensuring the organisation is robust and well-managed.

“ Time and time again, the generosity and support of Y Care International supporters has been instrumental in bringing hope to so many young people in need all over the world. It is only by giving them the tools to help themselves, and work towards a better life, can they hope to break the cycle of poverty for good.”

Terry Waite CBE Founder & President Y Care International

“You can help us create more opportunities for young people as every gift we receive will be

matched pound for pound by the UK government.”

Y Care International

Creating opportunities for young people

For every £1 donated...

Y Care International works in over 20 countries worldwide, changing young lives through local YMCAs in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East and the UK.

“ When Ebola hit, nine members of my family died in just a few weeks. There was no food and we were all very afraid. I also became sick with symptoms of Ebola; but I was lucky to survive. We were stigmatized by some of the community. Afterwards, a group of YMCA peer educators visited my house and encouraged me to become a part of their team. I’m proud that I became part of the YMCA family, because it allowed me to help prevent the spread of Ebola and work with people affected by it.”

We respond to disasters such as earthquakes, floods, droughts, cyclones, conflict and epidemics through YMCAs and other specialist emergency agencies to provide life-saving care across the world.

In West Africa, Ebola has left its devastating mark on slum communities already crippled by poverty.

Jenneh, 20, lives in one of Liberia’s poorest slums:

Resilience & disaster risk reduction

We also help young people to develop resilience to crisis and leadership for disaster risk reduction in response to the impacts of climate change.

After Ebola – help give young people the tools for recovery to make a difference in West Africa
