You can publish a document or file, thereby creating a link to it in the Portal Knowledge Directory. The published file must be approved by the portal administrator before it becomes accessible to portal users. If you already have Admin permission to the destination folder in the Knowledge Directory, the published file is automatically approved.

Your Document has been published to the Knowledge Directory folder. Access to the published version from the Knowledge Directory inherits the access settings of the parent Knowledge Directory folder.

For example, if the Everyone group has Read access to the Knowledge Directory folder, the version of the Oracle WebCenter Collaboration document published will be accessible from the Knowledge Directory by all users, including Guest Users.11
