Bench SeatsSome of our seating styles are designed with a single cushion seat, we call this a bench seat. With bench seating, the cushions fabric or leather tends to relax more quickly. The longer the bench seat cushion, the greater the tendency is for the fabric or leather to relax. As some fabrics and leathers naturally stretch more than others, we recommend talking to an EQ3 sales associate before you finalize your fabric or leather choice. They can help you sort through your options, weighing the pros and cons, so that you get the best cover possible.

Quality AssuranceOur fabrics should age gracefully. Before we add a new fabric to our collection we submit it to a number of rigorous tests:

ts one of the first things you see when you walk through our doors a notice declaring eq3 products are Mostly Made in Canada. It also describes eq3s business sense and sensibility. eq3 is proudly Canadian. Were from the windiest corner of Canada, with arguably the flattest lands and brightest prairie skies. Here, local art and culture spill onto the streets. With countless festivals and outdoor parties, and exceptional restaurants and galleries throughout the city, a new adventure is always within reach. We are from Winnipeg, Manitoba and we wouldnt have it any other way. Were proud of our roots and strive to produce as much of our product in Canada as possible. Our factory in Winnipeg manufactures all of our own upholstery pieces. That means when you order a custom made sofa from eq3, you can count on your new piece arriving home in about four to six weeks. We also work with Canadian mattress supplier Natura. Made near Kitchener, Ontario, Natura delivers environmentally friendly mattresses designed specifically for our platform bed and slat systems. At eq3, were always looking for new ways to think local and manufacture our modern designs in Canada. The more accessible the product is to us during development, the more hands on we can be, ensuring a better product for you. Although its ideal, manufacturing in Canada isnt always possible. In some cases, materials are not as readily available

here as they are overseas. Currently, about 30% of our product is manufactured in our eq3-owned factory in Indonesia. Our rug program is also rooted overseas and hand woven by the talented artisans of India. Whether its made here at home, or developed abroad, eq3 always ensures quality craftsmanship with every product we produce. A prototype must pass rigorous testing before its even considered for manufacturing and store introduction. Customers can also feel good knowing all eq3 products are made using ethical practices, with workers fairly compensated with above average pay for their work. Not only does eq3 manufacture product overseas, we work with many experienced and talented designers from around the world as well. Initial product ideas originate from our offices in Winnipeg. From there, we work with our in house designers, and also seek out top creative minds from outside the company to bring our ideas to life. As a vertically integrated company we design, manufacture and sell our own product. We also admire and respect brands whose designs have stood the test of time. In our most recent initiative, eq3 is proud to offer eq3+, a new designer line featuring iconic brands like Herman Miller, Stelton, Vitra, Alessi and more, with many featured products exclusive to Canada. For modern furniture and accents from here at home and around the globe, we invite you to choose eq3 for your spacefurniture and accents mostly made in Canada.

Due to body warmth, moisture and the physical strain applied to upholstered seating, it is normal for the cover material to stretch, sometimes quickly. At EQ3 we use only high quality upholstery materials. Thus stretching and a casual appearance do not represent a quality defect, but are characteristics typical of upholstered furniture. There are steps that can be taken to help maintain the appearance of your upholstery and minimize stretching:

Avoid sitting in the same spot over and over. No matter how well made, if the same spot is used continuously, this area will stretch and wear more quickly. Smooth the cover on the seat and back cushions. It is recommended that seats and backs are smoothed and fluffed to make sure that the interior materials are evenly distributed throughout.

The use of any leather or fabric after-treatment products, unless purchased at an EQ3 store, will invalidate this warranty. The EQ3 warranty does not cover any damages due to improper use, excessive soiling, improper or unapproved cleaning methods (for details see Care for Upholstered Furniture), chemical treatments, exposure to direct sunlight or colour fading. The use of any fabric after-treatment products, unless purchased at an EQ3 store, will invalidate this warranty. It is extremely important to pre-test your cleaning method on a hidden area of the fabric to determine if the colour will bleed or if the fabric will shrink. When in doubt, seek the help of a professional furniture cleaner. Always determine the best method of home cleaning for your furniture. Due to the various ways that furniture can be stained or damaged, and various fabric compositions, there is no guarantee that results will be completely successful. Use the suggested methods at your own discretion. To prevent overall soiling from dust and grime, light brushing is recommended. Use a professional cleaning service when an overall soiled condition has been reached. To obtain the most satisfaction from your furniture, give immediate attention to stains and spots and establish a weekly routine for the vacuuming of all your upholstered furniture. EQ3 leather products are warranted against tearing, splitting and cracking under normal care and conditions for a period of two years. Leather is a natural material and accordingly, each individual hide reflects its own characteristics. On average four to five hides are used on most EQ3 sofas and as a result, variation will occur. The EQ3 Warranty covers against pilling, fraying and dye transfers from the product for one year. The EQ3 Warranty does not cover tearing, shrinking or loosening of the fabric due to wear. Wood frames and springs carry a lifetime warranty against breakage. Springs are covered for breakage due to metal fatigue or pulling loose from wood frames. Fabric manufacturers recommend regular dusting and vacuuming. Removable cushions should be fluffed regularly. Dry Clean Only Water Based Cleaner Spot clean using only the foam from a water-based cleaning agent such as a mild detergent or nonsolvent upholstery shampoo product. Apply foam with a soft brush in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry.

Solvent Based Cleaner Spot clean using mild water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Clean only in a well ventillated room and avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride or other toxic materials.

Seat cushions are warranted against collapsing. All cushions will soften with use and will conform to the shape of the user. This softening is considered normal wear and is in no way considered a manufacturers defect. Fibrefilled seat cushion tops, backs and arms will flatten with regular use. This is inherent to the design of fibre-filled and fibre wrapped products. Regular fluffing will prevent internal fibres from matting and will help to prolong the vibrancy of these products.

cautions for upholstered furnitureDo not move furniture in your home without carefully wrapping the furniture, including the corners, feet and bottom of the furniture, with a protective covering. This will help avoid damage to the floors and/or wall surfaces, as well as prevent damage to the furniture itself. Do not move furniture on bare hardwood floors. At all times, place furniture on a protective area rug or on protective hardwood felt pads. This will protect your hardwood floors from potential scratches. Do not expose leather or fabric to ink, bleach, oily substances, fluids, body oils, strong detergents (including laundry detergents), chemicals and sharp objects as this may cause potential damage. Do not expose leather or fabric to sun or extreme light sources as this will cause fading and potential damage. Do not remove cushion covers for dry cleaning or separate washing. Do not allow children to play on mechanized furniture or operate mechanisms. Before operating, ensure leg rests and other moving parts are clear of limbs and other obstructions. Always leave seating closed and in an upright position when not in use. Do not stand on chairs. Do not sit on product arms. Failure to follow these directions can result in injury and/or damage.

Water/Solvent Based Cleaner Spot clean with a mild solvent, an upholstery shampoo or the foam from a mild detergent. When using a solvent or dry cleaning product, follow the instructions carefully and clean only in a well ventilated room.
