A cultural dimension for a HotelIt is certainly a big emotion to submit to the reader these few lines to introduce the newly born Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan Magazine "Esperienza Emozione".An initiative, the latter, aimed at presenting the most important cul­tural and social events for which the Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan plays a primary promotional role. And I am sure, in this respect, that the reader will find in this Magazine good news to better get acquainted, not only with what is going on with the Golden Tulip Yerevan Hotel, but also with the most updated information concern­ing topical and fashionable events in Armenia.As well known already, the Hotel has acquired, throughout all these years, a growing renown in the capital city as a typical Italian re­sort structure. And in this regard, the Hotel has distinguished itself not only as a provider of unique "emotions" for comfort and refined cooking and drinks ­ which undoubtedly bear the best marks of the "Italian style of life", but also in consideration of its role of "cultural promoter", contributing, this way, to ever strengthen the old histori­cal and traditional linkage between Italians and Armenians. That is to say, two People that just now are bound to discover themselves as real "twin­partners", which is proved by the shared awareness of their common past, common belief, common values and traditions.If there could be a bridge ­ and I like always to think of that ­ between Italy and Armenia, I am sure no one would realize to cross the bor­ders of two different Countries.And in such reference we may as well wonder: what has the Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan to do with all that? St. Patrick's Day Celebration St. Patrick's event was organized at Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan chic "Winter Garden" on March 17th. The event was organized in cooperation with Austrian Airlines and Honorary Consul of Ireland in Armenia. An elegant and friendly atmosphere of the evening was created by traditional Irish Music by "Manu" band and traditional Irish food by Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan.

Italian Cooking Classes From April 15 to May 15, 2012, Italian Cooking Classes took place at Rossini Restaurant of Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan. The classes were led by the Italian Executive Chef of the restaurant, Antonio Lostumbo.

During the classes the participants have learned how to prepare trout balls in flowered herbs broth, meat marinated in whisky sauce, tiramisu, pizza, homemade pasta, lasagna, risotto with saffron and liquorice according to the Italian cooking techniques.

At the end of the classes all participants received an apron and a wooden spoon with Rossini Restaurant logo and a Certificate.

Visit to the Mary Izmirlyan OrphanageIn the framework of long term cooperation with Leadership School, on May 29th, Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan management visited one of the orphanages in Yerevan. It was much appreciated by the chil­dren and the administration of the orphanage. The guests were warmly welcomed with a dancing performance. This partnership contributed to the implementtation of several social projects.

YEREVAN BUSINESS RUN For the first time in Yerevan on June 10th, 2012, Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan and Best Western Congress Hotel organized Business Run Marathon in cooperation with Austrian Airlines and Yerevan Municipality. Over 60 companies, more than 100 participants joined the initiative to make our city greener.The raised fund was directed to the reconstruction of a park in Ajapnyak region.After the Business Run all participants were invited to the Awarding Dinner Ceremony at the Caribbean Pool at Best Western Congress Hotel. Yerevan Spa Opening On July 12th, 2012 Yerevan Spa officially opened its doors for the guests. The opening event started with registration of the guests and the welcome speech of the Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan General Manager, Chiara Figini. During the event some Spa treatments were presented to the guests. The Spa team members accompanied guests to Yerevan Spa, guided them to different treatment rooms and answered the questions of the guests. Live music, drinks and furchet gave a final touch to the event.

Golden Apricot International Film FestivalFrom 8th to 15th of July 2012 Golden Apricot International Film Festival took place in Armenia. Tokyo Quartet13th International Music Festival "Yerevan Perspectives" opened its series of concerts with the performance of world famous Tokyo String Quartet. Tokyo String Quartet gave a concert on April 3, at Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall, in Yerevan. The ensemble performed the "Paganini Quartet", a group of renowned Stradivarius instruments named after the legendary virtuoso Niccol Paganini.

Patrick FioriFrench­Armenian singer Patrick Fiori gave a concert in Yerevan on March 31. The concert featured the song "Native Lands" based on the famous music from the film "Mother" (Mayrik) and the song "Belle". Fiori arrived in Yerevan with a number of French artists on the occa­sion of the month of Francophonie annual Initiative promoted by the Embassy of France in Armenia.

Traditional Armenian Wedding A wedding is a significant event in lives of bride and groom and they

look forward to it with a great triumph.

A lot of Armenian wedding traditions and customs have historically

been maintained for years. Though the wedding traditions vary in

different regions of Armenia and mostly are affected by the traditions

used in each family, some elements are also similar to international

weddings, like the white dress of the bride or the suite of the groom.

So let's speak about important points of Armenian traditional wed­

dings. Armenian traditional music and dances are one of the most

important parts of each Armenian wedding.

The vivid Church Wedding Ceremony in the Armenian Church is like

the steps of the new life for the husband and wife.

After being blessed by the priest, rings are exchanged between the

bride and groom, giving expression to the fact that spouses in mar­

riage will constantly be complementing each other.

At the end of the wedding ceremony the priest blesses the couple,

asking Christ to "protect them under the shadow of thy holy and

honorable cross in peace". Thus God's grace is imparted to them to

live together in His love, mutually fulfilling and perfecting each other.

After the church ceremony the time of celebrations follows. Another

important part is making toasts with traditional Armenian wine and

cognac. Wedding tables are also full of food and with irreplaceable

part of any Armenian celebration ­ Khorovats (Armenian barbeque).
