other projectsTerpsis Lodge
A discrete structure which consists of only six two-bedroomapartments, preserves the benefits of privacy and securitydespite its central location. The cantilever, fair-faceverandas and large windows are the main characteristicsof the building.
Acharnon Residences
An imposing structure located at a quiet cul-de-sac inNicosia, characterized by the interlocking of structuresand materials. Each apartment is unique in terms ofsize and directionality. The objective of the projectwas to provide a “turn-key solution” with fully equipped“Smart Homes”.
Private Residence
A renovation of a 1980s house where a consciouseffort of the architect and the owners was to maintainthe elements of the structure that characterized itsrevolutionary eighties design and at the same timeconform it to the needs and preferences of themodern family.
the architectsOne of the leading architectural practices, EpiTessera Architects, was selected to design EstiasLofts. Known for their modern design, attention to detail and innovative building, the practicehas been central in transforming the architectural landscape of Nicosia with many well known,iconic buildings.
The team consists of four architects, Elena Parouti, Maria Charalambidou, George Georgiou andGeorge Paroutis and has represented Cyprus in major international Architectural competitions andexhibitions and was awarded the Cyprus National Architecture Award for Young Architects in 2004as well as many significant awards in Architectural competitions.
the projectEstia’s Lofts has been designed by the architectural team of Epitessera and is locatedon a quiet street at a central location in Nicosia. The location and shape of the plot allowsfor all apartments to have unobstructed views to the street and privacy at the same time.The cladding on the building is an attempt by the architect to reinforce this sense of privacyand in addition shelter the apartments from the sun.
There are only seven apartments in the building, six of which are 2-bedroom lofts andthe seventh, a two-floor, 4 bedroom apartment with a private pool and a wine cellar.All apartments have access to a gym and massage room that is situated in the groundfloor and can be used for private training, massage, yoga or pilates.
Applying innovative structural engineering the architects have hidden the beams insidethe slabs providing the ability to residents of re-configuring the apartments without beingconstrained by the position of beams. This way a two bedroom apartment can be re-configured to a large one bedroom apartment with a separate office area and living area.
