ETIHAD AIRWAYS AND CZECH AIRLINES SIGN FREQUENT FLYER AGREEMENT Starting August 1, members of the Etihad Guest and OK Plus frequent flyer programs will be able to earn and redeem miles on all Etihad Airways and Czech Airlines flights. The announcement builds on the successful 18-destination codeshare relationship which the two flag carriers launched in June 2011, and follows Czech Airlinesre-introduction of direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Prague last autumn. Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: “This is a natural next step in developing our partnership with Czech Airlines and in providing members of Etihad Guest and OK Plus with the fantastic opportunity to seamlessly earn and spend miles on each of our networks. “Czech Airlines is a quality airline with an attractive network, and one that links with our own global operations over Abu Dhabi. Now our Etihad Guest members flying with Czech Airlines will earn Etihad Guest Miles which can be exchanged for free flights, to make purchases from the vast array of products available in the Etihad Guest online Reward Shop, or be converted to make cash payments in more than thirty million retail outlets worldwide with PointsPay an unmatched loyalty proposition.“ Jiří Marek, Czech Airlines Vice President for Sales and Marketing, said: “We look forward to rewarding our combined travellers with frequent flyer miles on our codeshare flights and beyond.
