collaborazione con l'Ufficio dell'Università di Foggia a Bruxelles. Tale bollettino è inviato al corpo docente

dell’Università di Foggia tramite newsletter.

Questa pubblicazione ha lo scopo di diventare un utile strumento di divulgazione e fruizione delle principali

opportunità di partecipazione dell’UNIFG a bandi e programmi europei, nazionali e regionali ed informare

su eventi, gruppi di lavoro, piattaforme, convegni, seminari che rafforzerebbero la presenza dell'UNIFG a

livello nazionale ed europeo.

Il Bollettino Europa è stato suddiviso in tre sezioni:

Working group: Design & Creativity VIRTUAL HERITAGE STORIES Errin Member: Central Sweden European Office

Outline: The department for Cultural Affairs at the County Council of Gävleborg and the County Museum of Gävleborg, in Sweden, have joined forces around an innovative virtual reality (VR) technology project connected to one of the world heritage sites in Sweden: the decorated farmhouses of Hälsingland. The cross-fertilization of VR and the world heritage benefits not only the cultural dimension but also innovation and accessibility. The VR technique makes the world heritage available for a larger audience. The aim of the project is to explore how stories and environments from the cultural heritage may be accessible through VR technique. The virtual heritage There are more than 1000 decorated farmhouses in Hälsingland, located in Gävleborg county – seven of them are part of UNESCO’s list of world heritages. One of these decorated farmhouses now also exists in the virtual world. This pioneering example features a banqueting room from a very remote farmhouse. You can visit the room, move furniture around, study the paintings and listen to a dialogue between two of the inhabitants from the 19th century, Sigrid and her husband Jonas. The virtual room gives you access to part of the cultural heritage which is off the beaten track, the farm itself is very remote and not often part of bus tours and tourism package deals. The banqueting room is particularly hard to get to as it is on the second floor and reachable only via a steep set of wooden stairs. Much of the history in these places can only be examined by visiting, looking at evidences of wear and tear, proportions of furniture and brightness of colours. Especially the history of the women and children who inhabited these rooms, as most of the written record is made by male authors for a male audience. New technology = New stories The new technical platform is interesting since it is so intuitive and easy to master for the participant. Instead of figuring out what buttons to push to move around you simply take a step forward. The virtual reality equipment is designed based on human behaviour. However, it offers new challenges to the storyteller and this project is pushing the boundaries of how and what to tell. The project idea The aim of the project is to develop the story further with new iterations and continued testing on a varied audience. What do people react to? How do we give them information most effectively, how to engage further interest and exploration? Furthermore, a sub-target of the project is to make more parts of the world heritage site accessible in VR. More rooms to explore, perhaps the whole house. Via geographical information systems (GIS) we can get the surrounding landscape accurate through layers of history. Partners type and roles of interest: The department for Cultural Affairs at the County Council of Gävleborg and the County Museum of Gävleborg are looking for partners who have an interest in using this method of making a cultural heritage environment accessible via VR. We are especially interested in partners with a strong crossover collaboration, between cultural heritage and technology, to exchange results, research and best practices. Financial aspects We are looking into different European funding opportunities, but we do not have a specific call in mind at this stage. However, we are looking for partners to develop the project idea and submit an application during 2017. Erasmus + calls for proposals 2017 KA2 and KA3 / The Cornwall Marine Network is interested in participating in a consortium as a partner Errin Member: Cornwall Brussels Office Outline: Cornwall Marine Network Ltd (CMN) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Marine sector in Cornwall via initiatives that improve profitability and encourage growth through quality and innovation. Originally set up in 2002, CMN has grown to support more than 350 member businesses, including marine leisure, commercial maritime and marine renewable industry.

At its regional level, CMN helps the industry by increasing skills in line with future industry needs,

identifying specific training needs, and ensuring that training products are developed to meet marine

businesses’ needs at an affordable cost. CMN provides a wide range of activities including marketing

coaching and campaigns, developing business skills as well as encouraging the next wave of skilled workers

through its marine academy that works with local schools and delivers its innovative apprenticeship

programme.

CMN has a reputable track record in European projects as a lead coordinator or partner across a wide range of funding programmes including transnational (Interreg, Erasmus+) and structural funds (ERDF and ESF).
