DEAR REPRESENTATIVES OF NATIONAL COMMITTEE,

On behalf of EYP Czech Republic, we would like to invite a delegation of your National Committee selected by your choice, to represent your NC at one of our main events of this year – European Forum Pilsen 2015.

European Forum Pilsen 2015 is a summer session taking place from 11 to 16 August 2015 in the European Capital of Culture 2015, Pilsen. Pilsen (or Plzeň, in Czech) is a city in western part of Bohemia and it is, with approximately 170,000 inhabitants, the fourth biggest city in the Czech Republic. Over 100 participants will gather in this beautiful city in order to discuss topics under the motto Culture & Industry: Forming New Directions.

The motto symbolises the utmost important role of cul-ture and industry in the city’s present and past, as well as the opportunity of forming new directions by the connec-tion of the two. The topics will thus mainly focus on cultur-al and technical aspects, or the combination thereof, such as creative industries.

Pilsen is known world-wide especially for the brewing industry that sources one of the best and most famous beers in the world, Pilsner Urquell. As an example of an-other very famous company, the Škoda company can be mentioned; it produces mainly vehicles such as locomo-tives, underground trains, trams, etc. exporting them to various countries around the world.

St. Bartholomew’s Gothic Cathedral, with the highest tow-er in the Czech Republic, or Moorish Revival Great Syna-gogue, the second largest synagogue in Europe, prove that Pilsen is also very rich in the area of history and culture.

The session will follow the traditional format, meaning Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly. However, extra activities such as Euroconcert and Com-mittee Dinners will be held as well.

Participation fee: €75 per delegate (covering accommodation, programme, all meals ex-cept Committee Dinners, not covering Com-mittee Dinners and personal expenses)

Expected Arrival: 11 August until 12:00 CEST to Pilsen

Expected Departure: 16 August from 17:00 CEST from Pilsen
