05-2010 EUSA Photo Competition 2010 Share your own perspectives of this year’s EUSA Championships and sporting events. Today we are particularly concerned with creating positive results through youth sport experiences. Youth sports play an important role in the development of a new and more talented generation. The spirit of cheerfulness, enthusiasm, leadership and social responsibility are key themes. We invite you to send us your top photos, depicting sport at its best: The fun of competition Health advantages of sports Greater sense of moral values New friendships Amazing experiences Each participant may submit up to three photos. The shots should be sent to [email protected] by October 15, 2010. We will not accept any images depicting drugs, alcohol, sexually suggestive content or violence. Participants agree to waive the copyrights for the photos submitted and that the photos are not edited. We kindly ask to send only the best resolution files you can provide (not greater than 6Mb per one photo). All students, athletes, or persons associated with EUSA Championships may take part in the Photo Competition. The winner will be awarded with participation in the General Assembly 2011 in Eilat, Israel. We are looking forward to receive your photographic masterpieces. Promising outlooks for EUC Futsal 2011 - 11 May 2010

The Organizing Committee of the 8th European Universities Futsal Championship, which will

be held in July 2011 in Tampere, Finland is already working actively in order to start all the

relevant preparations for the tournament. -It has been a hectic start of a year so far as we

have successfully reached agreements with main partners and got both the Organizing

Committee and the Executive Committee to action...

Sell Games 2010 Concluded - 25 May 2010

From May 21.-23. SELL Student Games, EUSA patronage event, were held in Tartu, Estonia.

In three days more than 1600 participants from 15 countries and 78 universities took part.

The greatest number of athletes were from countries who once established SELL Games –

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, but also from numerous universities of Russia,

Germany, Greece, China and elsewhere.

Universiade 2017 bidding announced - 25 May 2010

International University Sports Federation (FISU) has announced the details of the bidding

process for the 2017 Summer and Winter Universiades. The timeline opens the bidding

procedures in September 2010, and the games will be attributed in November 2011. For more

Changes in Bulgarian NUSA - 30 May 2010

Bulgarian Association for University Sport Academik recently got a new President and new

Vice-Presidents. The new President is prof. dr. Peter Bonov, the Vice Rector of the National

Sports Academy. The Vice presidents are dr. Peter Zografov and prof. Dimo Girginov, and the

rest of the Executive Board members will be elected at the assembly in June.

Summer university sports festival in SLO - 31 May 2010

Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) organised the Summer festival of student

sport – Slovenian university sports games in Koper on May 28, 2010. The full-day event,

organised in the vicinity of the Mediterranean Sea this year gathered about 150 students

from Slovenia, competing in volleyball, basketball, futsal as team sports and in tennis as

individual sport.

Student volunteers in Poland - 31 May 2010

Volunteers are strength of the university sport – said one of the participants IX FISU Forum,

that took place in Cracow in 2008. Volunteers are inseparable element of each event,

championships organized (not only) by university sport associations all over the world.

Croatian University Sport Conference - 31 May 2010

On May 28, 2010 the 1st Croatian University Sport Conference was held in Rijeka. The event

was organised by the University of Rijeka, Croatian University Sports Federation and Rijeka

University Sports Association. The goal of the conference was to discuss on the university

sport future.
