DEAR VISITOR OF THE 14TH EVTEKS FAIR,

I am proud to present the latest trends in home textiles with the EVTEKS Trend Forum 2009: Home Couture. The Home Couture trend book that you hold in your hands, is intended to inspire you, and contribute to Turkish home textile innovation.

With ‘Home Couture’ as the overall theme, we bring the latest fashion styles into homes in Turkey and countries around the world. International fashion catwalks and interior design become ever more intertwined. For consumers, this means having a great opportunity to choose from the latest trends for their wardrobes as well as for their homes.

Turkey is the world’s third largest pro-ducer of home textile, with a market share of 11%. Turkey’s home textile industry is strong and has now reached a position where it can manufacture its own collections and form its brand marks with traditional Turkish patterns. Today, Turkey is exporting its own special collections to mature markets such as Germany, France and Italy. In 2007, its export volume reached 2.8 billion dol-lars. We hope that the Trend Forum and this book will contribute to the further development of the Turkish home textile business.

I would like to thank all exhibitors for their commitment to excellence and for demonstrating their passion for innova-tion. I would also like to thank home textile sector and its representative TETSIAD and our partners in this initia-tive; ITF-İstanbul Trade Fairs and Lobster Concepts. I am grateful to Gunnar Frank and Inkrit Berbee for their creative fore-casts. And I wish all visitors a successful and inspiring fair!

14. EVTEKS FUARININ DEĞERLİ MİSAFİRİ,

EVTEKS Trend Forum 2009: Home Couture ile size en yeni ev tekstili trendlerini sunmaktan gurur duyuyorum. Şu anda elinizde bulunan Home Couture trend kitabı, size ilham vermek ve Türk ev tekstilindeki yeniliklere katkı sağlamak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Genel tema ‘Home Couture’ ile Türkiye ve dünyadaki evlere giren en yeni moda tarzlarını size getirdik. Uluslararası moda podyumları ve iç mimari birbirine daha da çok yaklaştı. Bu durum tüketicilere gardıroplarında olduğu gibi evlerinin içlerine yönelik olarak da en yeni trendler arasında tercih yapma şansı sağladı.

Türkiye, %11’lik pazar payıyla dünyanın en büyük üçüncü ev tekstili üreticisidir. Türkiye’nin ev tekstili endüstrisi güçlü bir konumdadır, artık kendi koleksiyonlarını üretecek ve geleneksel Türk motifl erine sahip markaları yaratacak güce erişmiştir. Türkiye, günümüzde Almanya, Fransa ve İtalya gibi gelişmiş pazarlara kendi özel koleksiyonlarını ihraç etmektedir. 2007 yılındaki ihracat hacmi 2.8 milyar dolara ulaşmıştır. Trend Forum’un ve bu kitabın Türk ev tekstilinin daha ileri düzeye ulaşmasına katkı sağlayacağını ümit ediyorum.

Mükemmellik konusundaki bağlılıklarını ve yenilik konusundaki tutkularını ortaya koyan tüm fuar katılımcılarına teşekkür ederim. This is an avant-garde baroque mood, mixed with innovative and sensual design. Permanent shine, superior quality and impeccable detailing are keywords. This look is inspired by glamorous fashion and glossy qualities. A sophisticated luxurious atmosphere satisfi es a growing desire for exclusivity. Lacquered, mirror-like solids, golden detailing and leather accessories create the environment desired by the modern consumer. Jewels and golden details draw all the attention. Synthetic fi nishes and trompe l’oeil effects on furniture and curtains create a touch of surrealism.

The colour shows an elegant range of mysterious dark tones, combined with gold and refl ex blue. Fabrics are fl amboyant and decorative. Think velvet, satin, lacquered silk, jacquard and damask. Popular: the romantic look of lace, embroideries, burnouts and laser cutting. Snake- and crocodile skins. Surface treatments are slick and shiny, often mirrored but always urban and sophisticated.

For patterns, we see honeycomb structures, facet shapes and Jugendstil motifs. An atmosphere of fl orals, art-deco and diamonds. Classic motifs are revisited and reworked with a fresh and interesting approach.

Yaratıcı ve etkileyici bir tasarıma sahip avangart barok tarz. Kalıcı parlaklık, üstün kalite ve mükemmel detaylar, anahtar sözcüklerdir. Bu görünüş büyüleyici bir moda ve parlak niteliklerden etkilenmiştir. Sofi stike lüks atmosfer, ayrıcalıklı olma hissini tatmin etmektedir. Parlatılmış, ayna gibi berrak taşlar, varaklı detaylandırma ve deri aksesuarlar modern bir müşterinin aradığı unsurlardır. Taşlar ve altınlı detaylandırmalar tüm dikkatleri üzerine çekiyor. Mobilya ve perdeler üzerindeki sentetik rötuşlar ve trompe L’oeil efektleri sürreal bir his yaratıyor.

Renk paleti, gizemli karanlık tonlarıyla altın ve refl eks mavinin bileşiminden oluşan elegant bir çeşitlilik arz ediyor. Kumaslar frapan ve dekoratif. Kadife, saten, lake ipek, jakar ve damasko. Popüler: dantelin, nakışların, yakmaların ve lazerli kesimin romantik görünümü. Yılan ve krokodil derileri. Yüzey işlemeleri şık ve ışıl ışıl, genellikle parlak ama her zaman şehirli ve sofi stike.

Prepare for a fusion of romanticism and delicate modernism – like a treasure chest containing beautiful memories from the present and the past. The atmosphere is chic, sometimes aristocratic, but always comfortable. The romantic world is inspired by plants and gardens; it is like an eternal spring. Decorative stitching and fl owery wallpapers are comple-mented by accessories such as pillows, candles and draperies. This is an expressive and optimistic theme in a unique mix and match of design, fabrics and colours. Keywords are humor and vitality. Multi-cultural infl uences dominate and create an etno paradise. Interiors will be styled, using temporary decorative elements. There are no limits of imagination and creativity. Nature is the source of inspiration in this indoor/outdoor theme. Mood? Think green! What defi nes eco luxury? It is the ‘story’ behind it, that gives it cachet and style. Buyers of eco goods expect to know where a product comes from and how it is made. Eco design has a focus on the quality and value of natural and organic yarns. Vegetable walls inside as well as outside of the house are no exception. So for interior design as well, sustainability is the current buzzword.

A nature inspired colour range. Summer neutrals tell a sophisticated colourstory. Organic fabrics like linen, cotton, bamboo, hemp and cork are used. Focus is on raw, untreated, recycled and handmade fabrics with the use of today’s techniques for a modern, sometimes artifi cial, approach.

Seascape and wind-swept patterns. The use of nature related shapes such as pebbles, bamboo and leaves for prints creates a pure look.

Ekolojik ürünler tercih eden kişiler bir ürünün nereden geldiğini ve nasıl yapıldığını öğrenmek isterler. Eko tasarım doğal ve organik ipliklerin kalitesine ve kıymetine odaklanmıştır. Yalnızca evin dışında değil, evin içinde de bitkilerden bir dünya örülebilir. Yenilenebilirlik kelimesi iç mekan tasarımında da söylenir olmaya başlandı.

Doğadan ilham alan renkler. Yaz, şenlikli bir renk hikayesi anlatıyor. Keten, pamuk, bamboo, kenevir ve mantar gibi organik kumaslar kullanılmaktadır. Dikkatler, günümüzün modern, bazen suni olan teknikleriyle ham, işlenmemiş, geri dönüşümlü ve el yapımı kumaşlara yönelmektedir.

Dalgalı ve rüzgarlı desenler. Emprimelerde kullanılan doğaya dönük çakıl, bambu ve yaprak şekilleri kumaşa saf bir görünüm kazandırır.

INKRIT BERBEEConcept and trend designer Inkrit Berbee studied fashion and textiles in Amsterdam and is director of Lobster Concepts. Having her roots in fashion she moved gradually to the fi eld of inte-rior design and is now active in both fi elds. With more than 25 years of experience, she is working as a consultant for various companies and is an expert in trend forecasting and concept design. Berbee has been working closely with Gunnar Frank for many years in the fi eld of trend fore-casting and international fairs.

GUNNAR FRANKTrend Analyst Gunnar Frank lives in Amsterdam and is a textile engineer, fashion designer and philosopher. After many years working in the fashion industry, Frank turned his attention to textile interior furnishings and accessories. To this, he later added furniture design and colour consultancy. Frank is known for his inspiring trend forums in Frankfurt at Heimtextil, Christmasworld and Paperworld, as well as in Delhi, Moscow and Tokyo. He is a member of the International Colour Authority in London.

INKRIT BERBEEKonsept ve trend tasarımcısı Inkrit Berbee, Amsterdam’da moda ve tekstil eğitimi görmüştür ve Lobster Concepts’in direktörüdür. Moda geçmişine sahip olan tasarımcı zamanla iç mekan tasarımı alanına da geçiş yapmıştır ve şu anda her iki alanda da çalışmaktadır. 25 yılı aşkın deneyime sahip olan tasarımcı çeşitli fi rmalara danışmanlık yapmaktadır, trend tahminleri ve konsept tasarımları konusunda uzmandır. Berbee, trend tahmini ve uluslararası fuarcılık alanlarında uzun yıllardır Gunnar Frank ile yakın temas halindedir.

GUNNAR FRANKTrend Analisti Gunnar Frank Amsterdam’da yaşamaktadır ve tekstil mühendisi, moda tasarımcısı ve felsefeci unvanlarına sahiptir. Frank, moda endüstrisinde uzun yıllar çalıştıktan sonra gözünü iç mekan tekstili ve aksesuarlarına çevirmiştir. Buna daha sonra mobilya tasarımcılığı ve renk danışmanlığını da eklemiştir. Frank, Frankfurt-Heimtextil, Christmasworld ve Paperworld; ayrıca Delhi, Moskova ve Tokyo’da ilham veren trend forumlarıyla tanınmaktadır. Londra’da bulunan Uluslararası Renk Otoritesi’nin bir üyesidir.
