About Nepal

Nepal – a magical place where

spiritualism meets adventure. One of

the most popular touristic

destinations in the region just

between India and China. A home to

friendly people, marvelous flora and

extraordinary fauna. Nepal is divided

into three physiographic areas:

Mountain, Hill and Terai.

About AIESEC in Nepal

AIESEC in Nepal is an Official Expansion with dynamically developing infrastructure and

reach. With the power and insight offered by Member Committee consisting of people with

working experience from 4 different AIESEC countries (India, Egypt, Ukraine and Poland), we

are continuously expanding our reach within not only Kathmandu, but whole Nepal.

Our Vision

Over 56% of Nepali population are

people between 0 and 24 years

old. This makes AIESEC extremely

relevant for the local community.

As our vision is to reach the youth

of Nepal to deliver high-quality

experiences, AIESEC Nepal

exchange plan includes 241 unique

experiences in GIP and GCDP.

NGO Sector: Currently, there are over 30 thousand NGOs registered in Nepal (full list

available at http://www.swc.org.np/SWC_NGOs_Total.pdf).

Key Outgoing Exchange Initiatives

There are over 420,000 students involved in tertiary education in Nepal. The process

constitutes of four stages: primary education (10 years), college (2 years), BA (3-4 years) and

MA (2 years). Not only thanks to this the youth of Nepal prove to be one of the best qualified

in the region. The top universities of Nepal are: Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University,

Pokhara University and Nepal Engineering College. Nepali students are open-minded, open

for learning and have excellent level of English.

Global Community Development

Programme: enrolling college and BA

graduates into three categories of

internships:

- World Issues;

- Culture;

- Management.

Available EP forms: X.2013 (for winter

peak realisation) and III.2014 (for summer

peak realisation)

Global Internship Programme: enrolling MBA graduates of Nepali Top Universities.

Available EP forms: X. 2013 (for winter realisation) and IV.2014 (for summer realisation)
