Upon arrival, take the hotel shuttle bus and transfer to your airport hotel for a well-deserved rest. Day 02 LOS ANGELES / LIMA Take the hotel shuttle bus to the airport for your flight to Lima. Dinner on board the flight. Upon arrival in Lima your guide will be waiting for you for your transfer to your hotel. Check-in and overnight. (B) Day 03 LIMA Full day Colonial and Modern City Tour of Lima, the Capital of Peru and a visit to the Gold Musem. The main attractions are the Plaza de Armas amidst the Government Palace, City Hall and Cathedral. In Lima downtown, you will find churches and colonial houses. You will visit the Santo Domingo Church and Convent that houses the relics of St Rose of Lima & St Martin de Porres. Drive through Miraflores and San Isidro neighborhoods. Continue to the Gold Museum which houses one of Peru’s largest private collections of the pre-Hispanic gold, silver, & copper articles. Included are magnificent necklaces, bracelets, rings, masks, vases, erotic pottery, tools, statuettes and many others. There is also a fine collection of textiles and a remarkable collection of arms and uniforms from more modern times. Local lunch is included. Dinner at hotel. (B,L,D) Day 04 LIMA / CUZCO Transfer to the airport for flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, drive to Sacred Valley, lunch then transfer to your hotel for overnight. (B,L,D) Day 05 SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS Set off for the Urubamba Valley, also known as the "Sacred Valley of the Incas". It's a charming location, full of tradition and ringed by typical small towns, like Pisac, which you will stop by to go shopping at its traditional Sunday market, the perfect spot for finding a souvenir to remind you of your journey. Lastly, you will visit the town of Ollantaytambo, a lovely village constructed by the Incas that has kept its past nearly intact in the form of stone streets and walls. Lunch during the tour. Dinner and overnight at your Sacred Valley Hotel. (B,L,D) Day 06 MACHU PICCHU By Train Full day Macchu Pichu Tour with buffet lunch at the nearby Sanctuary Lodge. Train tickets are included combining VISTADOME and HIRAM BINGHAM LUXURY TRAIN services. Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas”, is one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture. Surrounded by lush cloud forest, the citadel perches on a mist- shrouded mountain top. After your visit, board the Hiram Bingham Luxury Train to Cuzco. Dinner will be served on board. Upon arrival at Poroy station, transfer to your hotel in Cuzco for overnight. (B,L,D) Day 07 CUZCO / BUENOS AIRES Morning at leisure. Lunch then afternoon City Tour with visit to ancient ruins. Visit the Koricancha Temple, the Cathedral and surrounding ruins such as the fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking the city, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and the Tambomachay ruins. The Cathedral dominates the north-east side of the Plaza de Armas & sits squarely on the foundations of the Inca Viracocha's palace. In Sacsayhuaman, visitors are always impressed by the beauty and monumental scale of this important Inca construction. The main ramparts consist of three massive parallel walls zigzagging together for some 400m. The massive blocks, the largest being 8.5m high and weighing nearly 300 tonnes, are fitted together with absolute perfection. After the tour, transfer to the airport for flight to Buenos Aires. Dinner on board the flight. (B,L) Day 08 BUENOS AIRES Upon arrival at the EZE airport, you will be picked up by your guide. Proceed to a morning City Tour of Buenos Aires. Visit the main points of the city: Avenida 9 de Julio, Teatro de Colon, Plaza San Martin, Plaza De Mayo, with its historical monuments, the northern Recoleta district, Palermo Parks, and the Southern districts of San Telmo and La Boca. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then transfer to your hotel to check- in. The afternoon is at leisure for you to rest or to explore this cosmopolitan city. Nearby your hotel is Florida Street, an elegant shopping street... why don't you visit it on your own for some retail therapy! In the evening pick up from your hotel to enjoy a riveting Tango show with steak dinner. Sample their excellent beef as the Gauchos prepare a special barbecue lunch- Argentinean style! Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D) Day 10 BUENOS AIRES / IGUASSU FALLS Then transfer to the AEP airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls, Upon arrival, proceed to a tour of Iguazu Falls with lunch. Iguassu Falls is a spectacular grouping of 275 thundering waterfalls, truly one of nature’s greatest works. One of the wonders of the world, Iguassu is located where the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet. This afternoon visit the Argentina side of the Falls where you can walk along special pathways & bridges that bring you very close to some individual falls. From this side, one has a nice view of the San Martin island & Brazil. Lunch is included at a nearby restaurant. Then proceed to enjoy the La Gran Aventura Macuco Boat Safari tour. Ride a motor boat, where we take you 6 km through the Canyon of the Iguassu River, closer to the falls. After enjoying the view from the calm side of San Martin Island we sail to the “Tres Mosqueteros” waterfall and at that point, the Brazilian and Argentinean sides and the Devil's Throat can be clearly appreciated the ride is restricted to pregnant women and people with physical / medical problems). After the tour, cross the border & transfer to the Brazilian side to check-in your hotel. Dinner with show at Rafain Restaurant. (B,L,D) Day 11 IGUASSU to RIO DE JANEIRO Hotel check out. Proceed to the Brazil side of the falls for a visit. Lunch at Porto Canoas restaurant. Then transfer to the airport for flight to Rio De Janeiro. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to check-in for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D) Day 12 RIO DE JANEIRO Breakfast at the hotel. Half-day CITY TOUR with Sugar Loaf Mountain with cable car ride. Driving via downtown Rio, with its fine old colonial style Portugese buildings, and continuing on to the cable car at “Praia Vermelha”. A ride to the top of the Sugar Loaf Mountain gives the visitor a wonderful view of the city nestling between the mountains and the sea. Lunch included. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local Churrascaria famous for an eat all you can feast of all kinds of meats in long skewers and sliced on your plate. Sidings are also aplenty with vegetables, salads and other condiments. Then transfer to the touristic Plataforma Club to watch a lively Carnival-type SAMBA Show. (B,L,D) Day 13 RIO DE JANEIRO Visit Santa Teresa, one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro with its preserved architecture. Santa Teresa hides along its old and charming cobblestone paved lanes old mansions, handicraft stores, bars, restaurants and ateliers. It is a bustling part of Rio, famous for the colorful stairs called Escadaria Selarón. The neighborhood offers various unique and cultural activities in Rio and has a relaxing atmosphere which makes Santa Teresa a meeting point for artists writers, craftsmen and intellectuals. Lunch included. In the afternoon, visit the various beaches of Rio de Janeiro: Ipanema, Copacabana, Leblon, Leme etc. Spend some time for some fun in the sun. In the late afternoon, proceed to the Corcovado Mountain (Christ the Redeemer Statue), Rio's most famous postcard: the Statue of Christ blessing the city with open arms. Visit the statue of Christ towards sunset for a unique view. The statue stands on the hill of Corcovado, which is 710m tall (about 2,400 feet). The Statue of Christ the Redeemer was a gift of France to the city, and it stands 30 meters high (100 feet). On its base there is a chapel big enough for 150 people. This spot offers a 360° view to Rio. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D) Day 14 RIO DE JANEIRO /LOS ANGELES Transfer to the airport for flight out, bringing with you wonderful memories of South America.
