When did the first rocket reach space?The German V2 rocket reached space in 1942.
What was the first living thing in space?The US sent fruit flies into space in 1947
They lived!
What was the next animal?Albert II, a rhesus monkey, was sent into space in 1949.
He died when the parachute didn’t work. Ouch!
