Key Features

The BR Vario II operates with two, counter rotating brushes. This allows the unit to almost “float” and makes operation a breeze without the torque or operator fatigue seen in trational floor machines. Also, the counter rotating operation keeps the solution contained between the brushes during operation.

1. Counter Rotating Brushes

While in operation, the brushes on the BR Vario II spin at 650 rpms and the cylindrical brushes apply more contact pressure than a standard disc unit due to the reduced contact area. With high brush speeds and up to six times higher pressure, the BR Vario II provides exceptional cleaning results, out cleaning any standard floor machine on the market today!

2. High Brush Speeds and Increased Pressure

The BR Vario II utilizes two cylindrical brushes designed to clean porous or even floors. This allows the Vario II to clean not just the sur-face, but inside grout lines and uneven spots more thoroughly than a disc brush.

3. Deep Through Cleaning

Over half a dozen brush options are available to order for use with the BR Vario II. The Vario II can used to polish, scrub or strip a floor and can be uses on a variety of hard floor types including:

Wood Raised Rubber Flooring (Pirelli Flooring) Ceramic Tile

4. Multiple Brush Options

The brushes are changed by pressing down on the brush cap and pulling the brush out. This simple, no tools method makes brush replacement or changing a brush to clean a different floor type a breeze.

5. Quick Release Brushes

By pressing down on the handle, it will pivot in multiple directions. This pivoting allows the operator to run the Vario II side to side or in a straight line. This also allows for cleaning right up to the wall, eliminating detail and edge cleaning by hand.

6. Multi-Directional Operation

The BR Vario II has a low profile with a height of only 6.7 in (17cm). This low profile allows it to operate under desks, partitions, urinals, and other obstacles. And, simply removing the tank allows you to even go under lower obstacles!

7. Low Profile

Two transport wheels can be fixed to either side of the unit and the handle folds down over the solution tank. The transport wheels make moving from one area to the next a breeze. Also, the folding makes storage simple and allows the Vario II to even be placed in a car trunk.

Stripping a Floor To strip a floor it is recommended to use the heavy scrubbing brushes or the extra heavy scrubbing roller pads.

1. Premix the floor-stripping chemical in a mop bucket. 2. Apply the solution directly to the floor with a mop. 3. Using the grey heavy scrubbing brushes or extra heavy scrubbing pads,

aggressively scrub the floor to be stripped. 4. Scrub directly up to the baseboards, doors, walls and carpeted areas with the

front of the brushes. The machine will not splash. 5. Vacuum or mop the dirty solution from the floor using a wet/dry vacuum or

traditional mop. 6. Rinse the floor with clean water, ensuring that all residual floor stripper is

removed. 7. Lay the new floor finish down following the floor finish label instructions. 8. Clean the brushes and brush housing thoroughly when finished.

Restoring and Maintaining a Grouted Floor For kitchens, bathrooms, locker rooms and shower rooms. . . When working with a grouted floor the Hi/Low brushes should be used. To restore a very dirty grouted floor

1. Fill the solution tank with clean water and install the red brushes.

2. Directly apply the appropriate cleaner to the floor to be cleaned.

3. Scrub the solution into the grout lines and allow the detergent to dwell.

4. After the dwell time continue adding water from the Vario solution tank to the floor while scrubbing with the unit.

5. Scrub up to walls, doors and fixtures with the Vario. 6. Remove the dirty solution with a mop or wet/dry vac and thoroughly rinse with a

Tornado Industries, Inc. is committed to creating a clean, safe and healthy workplace environment through the use of innovative cleaning technology developed to minimize the impact of cleaning on in-door and outdoor environments. At Tornado, we care deeply about our planet and realize the cleaning industry is in a position to make positive and profound contributions to the environment, ensuring that our children and our children’s children inherit a sustainable and healthy planet. That’s why we carefully design our machines to deliver not only the latest innovation, but also green features to enhance indoor air quality (IAQ), use less water and chemicals, create less noise, and produce less moisture. Tornado embraces the following ecological and corporate values through green and healthy practices: 1. Water conservation: Our products, such as our carpet extractors, deliver adjustable solution control for safe, healthy and fast-drying floors that eliminate mold and mildew. Our cylindrical brush floor ma-chines use 30% less water. The design of cylindrical brush machines minimizes splashing and over spray by containing water within the machine housing. Cylindrical brush machines have six times the contact pressure of a conventional rotary brush machine, which not only helps reduce water usage, but also improves worker productivity and reduces labor costs. 2. Less chemicals: Due to recent green legislation and the development of new cleaning standards, all of our cylindrical brush machines and carpet extractors are designed to use less chemicals as well as provide increased rotations per minute (RPMs). The adjustable head pressure helps to minimize the need for powerful and potentially harmful chemicals. Our carpet extractors have enhanced vacuum sys-tems that limit the possibility of mold and mildew from developing and speed carpet-drying time. The result? Areas cleaned are ready for use faster and are safer for building occupants. 3. IAQ Enhancement: Vacuum cleaners including uprights, backpacks and canisters can release dust and debris into the air if they are not designed with advanced infiltration systems. That’s why Tornado has developed a comprehensive product family of high-filtration vacuums with true HEPA filtration to minimize dust and exhaust from escaping the vacuum. All of our carpet care cleaning equipment has been Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) and Tandus Industries tested and approved for green cleaning. What’s more, many of our UHS Ultra High Speed machines have passive vacuum systems to trap con-taminants before they become airborne. 4. Reusable and Recyclable: Our machines are designed with durable polypropylene tanks, housings and other components that are recyclable after the machine is no longer in use. All Tornado machines proudly display the recyclable logo. Our long lasting, deep cycle, rechargeable batteries increase run time and minimize down time and time spent on battery maintenance. Our cylindrical brush technology creates less environmental waste by utilizing one cylindrical pad to every 100 rotary brush pads, in-creases the productivity of your maintenance staff with less time spent on pad maintenance and replacement. 5. U.S. Green Building Council Member: We support standards and the criteria established by certification bodies such as the U.S. Green Building Council, The Carpet and Rug Institute’s (CRI) Green Label Certification program, the Green Seal GS-37 standards, and more.
