3EY Global Family Business Summit

The EY Global Family Business Summit offers family business owners an exclusive platform to discuss the most pressing issues they face today and to be inspired by some of the most successful family business leaders in the world.

Taking place during the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2017 Forum in Monaco, this year’s summit — aptly entitled Talent — Innovation — Growth: redefining the formula for family business success — promises to be the place where entrepreneurs from multi-generational businesses and those building a legacy for their next generations come together, celebrate and regroup to plan their future.

Looking forward to the next 10 years, family firms are going to face new realities that will challenge even their strongest of features. Their long-term perspective, family values and job stability will soon be challenged by emerging trends and economic paradigm shifts. It is crucial to start identifying what the new competitive advantages for family businesses will be in the future and to redefine what success will look like for the next generations.

We believe that by exploring these three dimensions — innovation, growth and talent — from a family business perspective, we can help redefine what will make family businesses successful in the future and how they will balance their long-term approach with the shortening of business cycles.

I look forward to welcoming you in Monaco.

4:30 p.m. | Closing keynoteGrowing against all odds: the extraordinary story of the Strauss Group. We could not think of a better closing keynote to this Summit than an interview with one of the most inspirational family business leaders of her generation. Ofra Strauss took over her family business — a local food and beverage company in Israel — and continued her father’s legacy by leading the business on a global journey through partnerships with some of the world’s food and beverage giants such as PepsiCo, Unilever, Danone and Haier. The company now operates in over 20 countries worldwide, and Ofra Strauss’ vision, entrepreneurship and drive are largely inspired by the values and unique DNA of the Strauss family, which established the business out of the challenges of an emerging nation and turned it into a global market player. Her story is remarkable, and this keynote is a unique opportunity to learn how uncertainty can truly be your opportunity.
