Facebook Lead Ad Integration

The first step is to set up a Lead Source in your Unify account.1. Go to “Leads/Manage Distribution”. From the “Lead Sources” tab, click the New Lead Source button.

You can integrate and distribute your Facebook Leads through Unify using a third party integration called Zapier. There are steps you will need to take before setting up your “Zap” in your Zapier account.

2. Complete the Lead Source Details form using the following values:a. Select Level: Userb. Select Vendor: Unify Lead Postc. Select User: [Select your user from the dropdown]d. Lead Source Name: Facebook_[User last Name]e. Lead Source Type: Direct Postf. Select Status: Active

3. Click Save. This will create your new lead source. a. Click Edit next to the Facebook lead source to reveal the Post URL. You will need this when setting up your “Zap” in your Zapier account.



4. Set up your Lead Programs in Leads/Manage Distribution within your Unify account a. Select the “Lead Programs” tab and click the New Lead Program button.



5. Select your new Facebook lead source from the dropdown and complete the fields using the following values:

a. Lead Program Title: Facebook_[User Last Name]b. Lead Assignment Method: Pushc. To select an email to trigger when the lead comes in, click the Select Welcome Email button

and the Keyword “Welcome”.d. Insure that the Status is set to “Active” and click Save.



Facebook Set UpYou must have a business page set up in Facebook to run ads and a Facebook lead form set up. Zapier will look for these during the Zapier set up. If you already have a lead form set up on your Facebook business page, scroll down to Setting up Your Zapier Account and Connecting to UnifyCRM.

Important Note: When testing the integration between Zapier and the Facebook Lead Ad Form, there was an odd behavior that added an extra Country Code to the beginning of the phone numbers. Instead of +1 it displayed +11 which caused an adverse effect in Unify. It added the 1 to the area code and dropped the last digit of the phone number. This can be corrected by using a Custom Question field in your Facebook Lead Form in the Questions data fields. Instead of using the Phone Number field in the User Information data fields, add a custom question using the Short Answer option and name it Phone Number.



Creating your Facebook Lead form. 1. From your Facebook business page, click on the Publishing Tools link



2. Click the Forms Library link3. Create a Lead Form



4. Select New Form5. Use the choices on the left to add elements to your form

a. Form Type – Choose More Volume or Higher Intentb. Intro – Change Headline, upload an image and set the Layout of your form

Questions – Set a sub headline, include more options (add a phone number using the Custom Question option as explained above under Facebook Set Up) and set “First Name” and “Last Name” (the form defaults to “Full Name”).

c. Privacy Policy – Add the Text and link URL to your Privacy Policy.d. Thank You Screen – customize your thank you scree with Headline and Description and add your Website

Link and Button Text.6. Click Finish.

7. Refresh your page or click Forms Library again to see your form.



2. Make a Zap. Search for Facebook Lead Ads in the “Connect this app…” search box on your Zapier dashboard and select it.

Setting up Your Zapier Account and Connecting to UnifyCRMZapier is a third party integration that will allow you to distribute your Facebook Leads through your UnifyCRM account giving you the ability to manage them more effectively.1. Sign up for a free 14-Day Trial at www.zapier.com



3. Add MyUnifyCRM to the “with this one!” field. Don’t worry that it says “No Results…”.

4. Click the “Make a Zap” button.5. Choose a Trigger App

a. Search for the trigger app… “Facebook Lead Ads” and select it.b. Leave the default to “New Lead” and click Save+ Continue



c. Click “Connect an Account”.d. If Zapier finds your Facebook Lead Ads account, click Test.e. Click Save + Continue.



6. Set up Facebook Lead Ads Lead. a. Use the dropdown to find your Facebook business page. If you don’t see your Facebook business page,

click the Refresh Fields link..



b. Use the next field to find the Facebook Lead Form you would like to use.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ZAPIER ACCOUNT!



c. In a NEW tab, log into your Facebook business page and use the Publishing Tools. d. Click Forms Library. e. Click Preview to display your form.



f. Complete the form and click Submit. This will send your test lead to Facebook.



g. Return to Zapier and click Pull in Samplesh. Use the dropdown to verify that Zapier has identified your sample lead. click Continue.



2. Choose “webhooks” from the list.

Almost Finished1. Add an action – Click the link to add an action.



3. Choose “Post” and click Save +Continue.



4. Enter the “Post URL” from your new Facebook Lead Source in Unify. You can access this by clicking EDIT next to your New Lead Source.

5. Leave the Payload Type as “Form”



6. Use the “Data” fields to complete the synch fields for Unify. Enter the Unify values in the first block (see excel worksheet) and use the dropdown on the right to map the Zapier field name to the Unify field name.

7. Add more fields by using the + sign until all the fields in your form are incorporated. Click Continue.



8. Scroll down and click “Send Test To Webhooks by Zapier.

9. Notification can also be configured in Leads Management using the Notifications Settings button in Unify.
